Being interested in, as well of a fan of mythological based-works, I must say I am very impressed. Firstly, the only reason I did not give this move a 10/10, was because the animation, while stylish, was rather jerky. Despite that, this was a very good video. You have melded the flash very well to the song and each seemed to flow perfectly with the other. I am left curious as to who the shadowed figure is at the end. Im also curious as to the identity of the creature sitting on the throne, Im wondering if it is supposed to be mythologically based, or if it is Satan sitting in the middle of the Lake of Ice. Anyways, maybe those questions will be answered in a sequel (hint hint!). As stated, very good flash, exceptionally chosen music as well. If I could I would most certainly nominate this for front page.
The "Ode to Joy" was also an inpiring Title by Beethoven ;)

The animations and graphics are so simple but yet they are so amazing, you hit it spot on. The music was really good too. FYI, youdid hit the sync just right, you wasn't off. I hope you keep up the good flashes =-]
This is really trippy when you watch it when you're high.Pick a different song next time though..and get rid of the dude with the deflated ball...and stop with all the colors man....we just need a few...I don't want to be feeling like a doped up hippy ya know? Needs a lil more straight and a lil less gay...you do that and I'll buy myself some extacy. Thanks

I had a hard time blinking afraid that i would miss somehting. I thouroughly enjoyed an epileptic seisure and complete collapse of my mind, it was great. I only wish that my state of mind would have been in a more proper part for the occasion. I will most certainly check out all of your other stuff, this was great and it made me so freaking happy i almost puked. Seriously, I loved it! Was that Jebus in the end??

The main characters were slightly out of sync with the music, and the light points, however, a very well made flash overall.
I really felt good while watching this movie ^_^ but theres one thing I dont understand about all those people that says it takes a great machine and all to watch some flash animation O_o my 1600 duron never lagged on any of em.
All I can say is WoW! This song made break out into tears. The sheer beauty of it just amazed me. Every rythm and every little pixel just took moved me.

Well it was fun and interesting, to say the least, but BORING and also very random. The tunes to this are amazing and the authour completed his incredible task. Great effort went into the flash. Overall it was average.
but was still very good. was pretty original to be fair, also, at the song did you not go mildly insane from hearing that music so much? =P

Now that you've stolen away the last of my sanity points, I think I'll watch it again. And again. Until the world no longer makes sense and I can smell time. Given the quality of this movie (and its potential for driving the rationality from the general public), it shouldn't take too long.

OK, the video syncs well and everything, i just found both the music and the visuals a bit too simplistic. the trilly melodie lines were nice, but it needs more harmonic backing; the writer would do well to add some more pads and/or chords. The bassline is also a bit too distorted.
The visuals are more impressive, mostly in the trippy light flashes and images. the pictures themselves are repeated too often, but that's forgiveable.
The besat thing on here are the streams of light that you made to go along with the trilling melodie lines, for which i give you serious props.

You havent by any chance played balloon kid on the original gameboy have you? It was a simple colourless game where you floated on balloons to save your little brother.
That tune came to mind during the quiet part, but a nintendo game "a boy and his blob" also seemed like it might be a source for the tune (modified of course! :P).

It was more happy than anger, so i guess joy won! Its like on of those wierd animations that you can like. Not like an animation that makes you feel like. "Dood...wtf is wrong whit peoples minds man?!?" Whoop-de-poo
I like it yes it is a little flamboyant....but its nice but i just wanna say that it didnt have enough of anger and hate so in the end you combine both beats to create an ultra awsome musical score you know like an ultra sandwhich of doom!!!!

The timing with the beats was great. I was waiting the whole song to see who made it so I could download it, and to my surprise, it was David Firth. Now, how can someone who producing the most messed up flashes ever (although they are great pieces) create a great song? wow.

I loved the graphics and it was a catchy tune too. The music was about half a second of of the animation in a part or two but otherwise the sound quality was great.
What you have created is a visual manufestation of that song. It reminds me of those visualiations from windows media players. Bravo. Graphics are great.

I only gave it an 8 for 'sound' because the music was the only audible sound, not because it is lacking in any way.
it was joyful indeed. When i read about the hate thing and then heard the music, i thought the hate music would be like this weird nintendo-like tune, which it turned out to be. The rest of the music was very good; nice animation btw, goes perfectly with the music.
that was awesome. but i have one question, was that a remixed Canon.
This flash was just done well, it showed character and a ton of joy, hence the name, it really shows that NG can be peaceful and *joyous* lol. Good job though I loved the blue guy bouncing the, let's call it gello gello. It wasn't a detailed animation, the gello, but it was cute. In fact this whole thing was very cute and I would most likely en*JOY* more of these on NG.

I enjoyed this. Nothing extraordinary but the author did a nice job visualizing the subtle differences in the music. He even kept a theme. I think the graphics added quite a bit to the song and I liked his style.

C above^, Pretty good syncing, couldn't do it better, however there are some negativities about it:
-the music itself was pretty repetitive, and above that, the music wasn't as smooth as it's supposed to be. So music is not that good, gave it a seven for syncing
I really hope you do some more of this in the future, however, make it a little more storie-like, little les random. for example see "Flathead Symphonie"
it shows a lot of joy, that's for sure. I LIKE JOY =)! it's a musical clip deamet! doesn't need to have interactivity! that goes dedicated to the person before me.

You definately came through with the synching. It was very well done, especially for such an intense and fast happy hardcore-like song. Sure this doesn't fit the normal mold of violent, overtly-humorous flash on this site. But it definately showed work was put into it. Synching isn't always easy to do. I say good job :)
I'd suggest giving the guys who are bouncing the balls (or throwing rocks?) more variation in movement. Besides that everything was well done.

The sound was interesting to say the least. I can't say it was the best song I've ever heard, but for a one-man project it was better than most. The synchronization could have really used some work. It seemed like you were using event instead of stream, judging from...stuff. I'd say if you were to work on anything it would be an original drawing style. I've seen these graphics elsewhere...but I can't put my finger on it.
Don't be offended by my score, I'm just not one of those people who shell out 10s to anything that isn't crap.

It is kind of hard to make everything move at the same time, the graphics where very simple but as you said you didnt point to the graphics soo i will just point to the plot. It was a great feeling to get something NOT violency at the portal! You've created something very good there my friend!
That was absolutely awesome. it was perfectly matched together. i was kinda wishing it would've ended with those Demons for Hate riding across the bottom and the angels of Joy floating on the top, with the 2 bouncing ball guys for each side pretty much going at it. but still, freakin genius!

This animation was cool. Except: the music was waay too reapeatative, and the guy and the sound he was making was starting to get really anoying. I can't give a great mark, but I think u deserve at least a 7 because u probably put a lot of work into it.
The graphics were quite nice to look at, and contradictory of what anyone else says, I think you did a amazing job at synching with the music. All in all, this was fun to watch AND listen to, because the song was really cute. ^^

Make another video with the same characters and maybe try to focus a little more on graphics, that would be totally wicked! That was beautiful. The animation matched the music damn near perfectly, both in style and synchronisity. I loved the "aurora borealis"-like effects. :)
Its like what gose on in my mind but theres dancing. But It was good, I liked it. But I think it needed more dancing.

A flash without a proper preloader is like a dog without a leash.
Everything else was fantastic, I just hate to be interrupted while watching another flash by some whacked out music from a completely different flash that I had expected to have a proper preloader.

The presentation was done very well, with different sounds coming from different graphics and it all sounding very nice together. It was lacking a big finish though, I would of liked to hear a huge musical ending rather then a fading one.
A good flash, i'm amazed firth made the music, so different from what he usually does!
Even that David makes more creepy stuff...this is just a nice rest between his nxte Movies :)

I really like your style, and appreciate this for what it is. The only aspect of this this that I feel held it back was that it was too long for such a simple video. All in all, however, you managed to create something entertainig and thousands of times better than 99% of the other crap that's allowed onto Newgrounds' main page. Bravo.

I can tell you were working on sound-flash syncing. I also noticed how it improved as the movie went on. That's quite impressive. It was slightly off when the scrolling (top and bottom) angels spawned, but the majority was 99% on it. Congrats, and I'll be waiting to hear another from you.

Since you were just trying to sync sound to animation, I thought it was good. The drumbeats were sorta off sync though, everything else was on sync.
Grapihcs were repetitive, but they were good, but since graphics weren't the thing to emphasize here, it doesn't matter that much.
I dunno how to rate style... Radnom 10! ^.^
I liked the song, it was happy, upbeat, and would be very fun to try on DDR ^.^
And there wasn't any of the other stuff there, so I won't rate it.

I really liked this. I thought it was very good. I loved the way the visuals synched with the music so well and it was very nice to watch. There are a few flashes I never forget. These flashes i will usually search for when i want to hear them. I am happy to say this is one of those flashes. One day is the hopefully distant future I will forget ever listening to this song. But, I still have listened to this song a million times. While I dwell here I will never forget.
Anyway, now to review.
Graphics:Very well done, special effects were solid, everything flowed very smoothly.
Style:The flash brings a happy environment that ensued me into the song, I just loved the characters.
Sound:FAVORITE PART! The sound effects were awesome/very well done. But more importantly, the song is unforgettable! JOY WINS AGAIN! :)

It is relaxing and fits the music well... but it can get repetitive with the guy hitting the thing on the ground in almost every scene.
