Christmas Combat: seasonal characters battle it out in a classical 2D 1 vs 1 beat 'em up!

Controls: Arrow keys to move, A and S to punch, Z and X to kick, A + S for special when charged.

Each character has strengths and weaknesses.

This game marks the debut of gavD's new Versus Effect 1 on 1 fighting game engine. You cannot change the controls in Jingle Ballistics, but future VE games will have this facility.

Good game but short

Was a pretty good game but if you figured out a pattern could win on hard without getting touched. Toy was too easy to win with too. But not bad played through it twice.

gavD responds:

Yeah, it's beatable using cheap moves, future VE games will address that.

gavD responds:

Controls Suck

I was getting a little bit to into the game to give you a review. The only problem I found with the game is the the controls suck. The controls for the figth should use the buttons "A, S, X,C". Make more dude.

gavD responds:

Future games using this engine will have customisable controls a la End of Nightmares. This game has the basics of the engine but lacks many of the advanced features that I will add later.

Take that, Santa!

Street Fighter meets the North Pole. Good concept, and good graphics and sound effects. Though the game's control is what makes it lose points, like most flash based fighters. But despite that minor set back, it's an addictive game that can be handled with a little practice. Besides, it's a good way to take your anger out on Santa for that copy of Daikatana he gave you last Christmas.

gavD responds:

Cheers Noetic! I was never John Romero's bitch (Daikatana PR reference)!
