Pain, anguish and misery. All due to a pre-historic 56k modem. This pays homage to my days before broadband, and highlights the suffering many face with the skyrocketing file sizes on the net. It was just a quick animation I threw together after using a 56k connection at somebodys house and reliving the stresss of acquiring a single file.
Note: Ok now I have severely reduced the filesize to stop the hypocrisy of this flash's download time being almost as long as a 56k connection.

I just recently got DSL. After 8+ years on dial-up. This movie doesn't quite show the anger and frustration of not being able to do anything on line.

It's so true! Sadly, up in the middle of the woods where I live, all we get is dial up. We might be getting DSL, EVENTUALLY but for now, dial up is our only option. This totally captured the true emotion and feelings of using a dial up connection. Loved the animation style, too!
You are truly a legend, how do you survive? Also the fact that you picked up on it being an actual style of flash animation and not just shitty drawing! I'll be releasing a new flash soon, and it's in a totally different style, I spent ages on the drawing so I hope it does alright.
Keep up the good reviews too, and since your humour is awesome, you should make some flash and upload it when you finally get DSL.
