Just an experiment here with different ideas and techniques. It's based on dreams again. It was just going to be about 20 seconds long but it grew. I made all the dialogue up as I went along (you can tell) I tended to ramble on a bit, then I just fit the animations to my mouth words.
All music by me.

inexplicable achievement: NOT "a small victory"
After watching many a David Firth animations (Salad Fingers, Spoilsbury Toast Boy among them), I realize how the style and story of each pulls me between disgust and fascination. There is something grossly amazing about what he dishes out. Admittedly, I feel some of his animation goes WAY overboard in injecting nightmarish, horrifying perversions into the sensory organs of his audience.
Discovering Ptikobj (a name whose meaning, if it has any, I have yet to understand) pleased me to the core. It's inventive (experiMENTAL, to borrow an emphasis from my roommate), playful, and less repugnant. It is VERY sexy (as sL1mM said) in that it is CREATive. Spontaneity WORKS for David Firth. I look forward to further smart, simple stuff like this. It's unexplainable how this nonsensical piece of work just MAKES SENSE. I read another reviewer's comment describing how when you're dreaming, "everything just seems to make perfect sense, then when you wake up, you think 'W..T..F?!'" (Thelittlerich). I totally agree that this animation captures that feeling. I feel like I'm dreaming when I'm watching it (because as soon as I try to describe it to someone else, NOTHING I say can make it make sense: which is why it's ANIMATED. It needs to be viewed, not explained). Even the music, which he orchestrated, fits this surreal world he created. Finally, to once again agree with someone else's comment (Teenagerfrommars), David Firth's voice acting is wonderful and unique, always serving his work. I don't know if he already has, but I encourage him to use his own voice at least once in all of his pieces. I look forward to more. MORE!
Some may think I'm over-rating this piece, but I'm not over-rating it for ME. This thing REACHES me profoundly. I love that I can share this animation with my niece (as opposed to some of David Firth's other stuff) and she totally GETS it. And totally loves it. Additionally, my roommate (who writes and DPs video productions) and I quote this all the time, and it always lightens the mood. I also used my cat like a machine gun, and she DIDN'T mind.
"that's VERY odd..."
"Um, i'm just eat'n your cheese..."
"like, i think there's some guitar strings to eat in front of you. just eat those."

What..
That was ridicouslousy stupid, so non-understanbably random, so creative, so idiotic, that it was the most brilliant thing I've ever watched. I've watched this movie countless times, it never gets old. I love this. It's just so.. nonsense. It's great. I love you. Make more. They are so entertaining. *worships the flash* You, sir, are absolutley brilliant. Brilliant. What's your secret to your brilliant brillance?
