"It’s a dirty job but somebody’s gotta do it."

date: December 2, 2005

Seriously, what a waste of time. It sounds like you’re just mad at a world that expects you to wake up at 7 AM, punch in your card, and put in a good 8 hours of WORK to get the things you want.

It’s no secret that many Americans think that they’re too “good” to wash their own dirty dishes in restaurants, too “good” to mop their own dingy floors in buildings, and too “good” to shovel their own shit in sewage treatment plants.

Then illegal immigrants come in and snatch up these undesirable, “uneducated loser” jobs (and boost the economy in some ways) because they’re desperate for a better life and need money for their families, and Americans get their panties all up in a bunch about that, too. Why don’t they point their fingers at the real “goons”? Meaning, the top 2% of the population who control the government and purposely manipulate the system to keep 98% of the world’s wealth for themselves, thus forcing everyone else to fight over the rest, or worse, scrounge around, live like animals, and starve to death in masses.

I was really hoping to see something about big, crooked corporations like Wal*Mart who offer their workers two choices: earn such low wages that you and your children live in poverty, or be homeless.

Author's Response:

did you even watch this cartoon? it has NOTHING to do with anything you're rambling about. Walmart?? Illegal Immigration?!

perhaps it wasn't clear enough, but this is meant to be viewed as propaganda from a fascist state (the Company $tate, or CO.ST). so when they portray the menial jobs of society in an unfavorable light in this reel, it is to make joining the G.O.O.N.S. seem more appealing. a ham-fisted manipulation of the viewer, if you will. and besides all that, it's SATYRE! so loosen up.

if you want a cartoon about the plight of the working man, watch The Agent ep.1.

"Slick."

date: November 30, 2005

Quite smooth. The style is all in the presentation, which was excellent. Some of the graphics could've been a bit better and the sound quality wasn't exactly crystal, but it certainly was hilarious!

Pure genious, and quite true.
