Laughing Too Much...Cant Take No More...Must Stop.

Lmao dude this rocks, i love your flashes btw i may try to get a t shirt (ill have to convince my parents, i let my dad see episode 3 and 2, and he loved it, but my mom thought it was stupid but laughed like hell, hehehehe, my dad says you can so make family guy get out of network, lmao great job, and is blockhead getting a little smarter, it seems like he is, like in the first episode he didnt even know where the telephone number was on the telephone number card, and it does seem it is getting a little violent, but anyways Great Job, if you quit making flashes ill quit newgrounds >:) Deal? lol no im serious, you are one hell of a nutjob to come up with these ideas you rock dude, so long

The-Swain responds:

Haha, you and I will be the only ones wearing them I think. Don't tell anyone, but I always wanted a shirt with a big, red "#1" on it. I got to live that dream vicariously through Blockhead by letting him wear it first, until the idea struck me to put it in cafepress with the other logos.

And I see that people are concerned that Blockhead might be getting violent, though I promise that this episode isn't an indication of any new trend. Blockhead was the absolute moron he started as in Episode 1 because he didn't have a world with which to interact, only his consceicne. Now they can bicker because they've known eachother a while, and the conscience is finding new ways to cope with being stuck in the head of an idiot who doesn't listen. There will be plenty of character development I think, but not toward violence!

So worry not :D And also, thanks for watching my series. It's great to hear that people have noticed more than just its simple humor, which is key, of course.

This cartoon is losing it's touch.

Really, this used to be a funny cartoon with no violence, and as each one goes on, it's more and more violent and is getting less funny overall. It's still kinda good, but it's losing its touch. At the very least give it a T rating if you're gonna put gore in there.

The-Swain responds:

Blockhead has three personalities, I've discovered. There's the "idiot", the "sadist", and the "attention-span shortage"; each relates to his overwhelming naivety and lack of common sense. This episode was the first to really dwell on all at once, so there was a bit of a juggling act going on.

Pushing children, selling nails, destroying property, etc., are part of Blockhead's interaction with the world and an important showcase of how groundless his logic really is. But if your complaint is with the cheap-laugh-violence like at the end of the cartoon, then don't think too much about it. It was important for me to bring closure to the Conscience's episodal anxiety, not to fill the cartoon with blood.

Whatever the case, I disagree with having a T rating: not only is the character not corporeal (does he exist outside of Blockhead's mind?), but the rating is meant to denote violence as per the word (the expending of force to deal physical harm), not simply bloodshed.

(Oh, and don't count Halloween Episode 4...the gun was as close to a 'scary' Halloween theme as I wanted to get, and I don't aim to use it again in the future)

Anyway, if you're worried that I'm going to fall down the slope of bloody-fighting-stick-ninjas or what have you, then fret not. This series will always be absurd and it will always stay clean.

Becoming a cool series

The graphics aren't too good, but the Photoshop environments are pretty good looking in a scribbly Beavis and Butthead sort of way. The audio quality, I've noticed, is very clear and stuff. I'm impressed by that. The comedy is unique in that it's a moron (which isn't unique) but is very clearly and well spoken and has a happy-go-lucky attitude about everything. These are getting better.
