In this episode, the Cold War's hottest hero teaches a misguided youth about the dangers of saving money. This cartoon will hopefully develop the Captain Capitalism character a little more, so that I can do more episodic pieces in the future. Hopefully, you will still enjoy it, even though this one has no obscentities or political themes. Visit www.captaincapitalism.com for more...

...commie.

Oh my GOD! I'm a huge fan of Captain Capitalism. I watched the other one I've found here on NG and laughed my ass off. The art is smooth, the sound is great, and the voice for Captain Capitalism reminds me -exactly- of those 'social engineering' films.

Loved it the first time I saw CC, still loving it.

Great job, this is a laugh riot, as usual. Keep it up. :)

funny, but...

As a far-right ultra capitalist, captain Capitalism wouldnt be an advocate of the eminently Keynesian theory that saving money causes stagnation.
You see, if money is saved up in a piggy bank, (not in a bank where it remains in circulatio in the dorm of loans) then that money is removed from circulation, effectively cutting the availability of it, and increasing the value of every other dollar still in circulation. According to the quantity sum theory of money, a person retiring money from the economy wouldnt have a generally adverse effect in any way.

Still funny, though.

Great movie.

: Why do people involve polotics in movies, AT ALL?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Not that it was strongly indicated either way which side this movie was taking. And not that it was all that political in the first place, through the entire movie I was paying close attention to every word that was said so I could be sure that there wasn't a political under tone. And for that very reason I couldn't enjoy it as much as it was meant to be, still it was entertaining. Some advise, don't involve polotics in movies, it's all around a bad idea.

Ever hear the phrase "a little sugar helps the medicine go down"?
Putting this stuff into funny little flashs makes the cold hard reality of it easier to understand and accept.

Anywho, really funny. Nice mix of 1950s era propaganda and ren and stimpy style. Good sound, and graphics, although things like when the kid breaks the piggy bank were a little choppy, but overall well done.

And rememeber kids:SOCIALISM IS FOR SISSIES

Good explaination on economics

Even though I'm a money hoarder, I still think this video is correct on economy through spending.
