10/21 - OMG Daily 1st + Frontpage? Thank you so much :D

There's also a short short music video for this, there'll be a link to it once the movie is loaded. It's much too big for NG. I need to learn how to compress video better - I tried everything but nothing worked. =[

This animation was made for a performance assessment for a US History class... Though it was mostly for the grade it was more for practice and experimentation with flash... I've never before worked with voice, frame-by-frame, or imported video, for that matter. I would really appreciate feedback, but otherwise, enjoy.

I love history and this was lots of fun. You failed to mention that Pocahontas DID in fact fall in love with a white man. It was actually John Rolfe, but hey, they got the John part right! Come to think of it, why didn't they just use John Rolfe? It would have been more historically accurate. Then again, it would also make the scene where she saves his life less historically accurate.

I really don't know why they changed a person into a dog. It just seems rather pointless. Oh, I'm sure there were a few dogs around. Yes, it isn't one of the best Disney movies. It still isn't bad.

About the Jackson bit...

People, this flash was uploaded YEARS before his death, so it was still considered tasteful back then. XD Anyway, as for this vid, well, I couldn't care less about the film being historically inaccurate. That's not the main point of a family film. Oh no, my issues with this movie spawn from two things:
1) John is the one undergoing all the character development while the title character gets none of that and
2) The chemistry with John and Pocahontas almost feels non-existent. I see a friendship, sure, but not true love.

I completly agree

Also you forgot that Pocahontas actually had an English name it was Rebbecca Powhatan and she married John Ralph not John Smith. Her and John Smith had a more brother sister connection. Other than that I agree with your every word. Oh and if your wondering why I care im a decent of her tribe! Lovely to met you.
