Thing-Thing 2 is underway. Check out my site for more details.
--Update 2--
w00t front page! Thanks for your support everyone, I appreciate and I'm still reading all of your reviews. About all of the Madness comments: Niether I nor Krinkles are the first people to make a mouse aiming 3rd person shooter engine, and I realize that it's black and white in the beginning, but I wanted for the game to seem dismal and grey until you eventually make your way into the colorful outside world. In those respects, I think that this may play somewhat like madness, but they are 2 very different games.

Daily Feature! Thanks Everyone. I've been reading all of your reviews, and thanks for your imput. Also, you have to shoot your way out of the first room for everyone who didn't get that.

This is a game engine that I came up with a while back and it was purely for experimental purposes. I'm creating a full game around an engine similar to this and I wanted to get some feedback on it before I get too far into it.
Controls are A and D move W jump SPACE is open doors, F is change weapons and mouse Aim/shoot.
You can shoot out vents to move past an area.
Note: there's only one level in this, so it's kinda short. Try the all weapons cheat, it adds in a bunch of guns that you can't get in normal mode.

Hmmm..

This is a tough one. The game is great, I can't wait to play the rest! But the game is way too short. If it were a bit longer this could have been a 9-star game, but it's still great.

Thing Thing REview

Thing Thing has become a pop culture icon for reasons incomprehensible to the human mind other than the conclusion that the people who like this game use shotguns like fleshlights, but let's ignore that for a second. Does the original Thing Thing live up to the cultural phenomenon it set up? In short, No. In long, Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
You start the game off as Project 154 (read: Thing Thing) Who brutally murders a guy who wanted him to take his mental medication. He eventually goes and murders everyone, getting to a point where he kills some stupid robot whose IQ is slightly higher than Paris Hilton's. Graphically it's weak, attempting to mimic Madness but failing because everyone's limbs are some form of circle. Sound design is weak as they chose all the gun sound effects from GUNS 101, and it's too damn easy. Weasel must have said to himself during development, "Gee, the controls sure are akward and floaty, and the aiming is like trying to eat peas with a chopstick in a hurricane simulator, so let's make everyone dumb as fuck and make the levels designed around just walking through it because I'm too lazy to fix any of the problems. Oh, and let's also make it take five minutes to beat even if you don't press the magical button that gives you a thousand ammo for every gun in the fucking game, most of which don't even actually exsist until you press the magical button." In conclusion, Thing Thing isn't terrible, like I may have led you to believe I think it is, but it's not exactly good. Sure it revolutionized flash shooters, but the cotton gin was revolutionary too, but I'm sure as Fuck not gonna spend my afternoon playing that.
