An exploration into another dimension (literally). My first attempt at 3D API, the whole game (besides audio) is built with Actionscript - ship and enemies are redrawn dynamically every frame, using trig calculations based on the z axis. 2400+ lines of code, includes an online scoreboard. Game took 2 weeks to code.

Controls:
Arrow keys to move, X to shoot, Z or SPACE to bomb, P to pause.
Scoring:
The further away an enemy is when killed, the higher the score.
5000 for game completion.

Reminds me of the good'ol days

To tell you the truth, I liked this game, the graphics take me back to the early 90's when games wern't all to good but still were fun, but not enough to take your mind off of your school work. Not the best work but it douse grab your attention to make you try and be the best out there. Top score is pretty impressive too!

You are god.

You must be about the only person on Newgrounds that is able to make a game like this one. Nobody masters API like you do. The ships that are recalculated, the tunnel, everything was impressively well done.

Graphics - 10 - The 3D that is remade every frame is unique. And nice design too!
Style - 11 - 3D API shooter = 11/10
Sound - 9 - Fits well. Couldn't do better.
Violence - 8 - One of your more 'violent' games, isn't it ;D
Interactivity - 10 - Yes.
Humor - 5 - The overall was so good that I couldn't give less.

And again Denvish owns Newgrounds with an innovative submission only he has the power to make.

Not bad

There were some overlapping problems: sometimes close objects were overlapped by objects farther away. Other than that, it was entertaining for a short while (even though I've played hundreds of games like it), so I'll give you a 6/10. You get a 0 in creativity/originality, but you still finish with a D for your effort.

Was hell to aim...

Basically I just orbited around the center firing like mad hoping it would hit something. Things popped up on the far edges that looked like you could hit them but you couldn't...then they hit you anyway and you took damage. This would've worked very well in first person, but as is it's just too damn hard to actually hit anything without the good ole spray'n'pray.

Dude

Respect. Gotta respect that, dunno much about action-scripting, but, if some of the other folks here (cough cough IIPhase - corpses of the III Reich - to be mercelessly blammed) were able to code something so smoothly, the whole world would be a better place. All my 5 are belong to this.
