Wow, back on the front page. Thanks
HINTS! Backshot is a vital weapon for the 3rd boss, so save up! Backshot also makes quick work of thos damn turrets!
Now people are complaining about not being able to move certain diagonal directions.
QUOTED FROM dwn_n_drty: "Let go of space if you want to go in a diagonal direction. Modern keyboards only let three keys to be pressed at a time."
Damn people stop asking for color! It's SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK AND WHITE it gives it style! I MEAN COME ON! DO YOU EVEN THINK IT WOULD LOOK GOOD IN COLOR? It's not a game with the color sucked out. It's a game designed in black and white to look good only in black and white.

This needs work
First problem, seeing the damn text. Second problem upgrades? what are they what do they do? i got 4 and all that happened was my weapon no longer fired in a straight line.
Due to the poor quality of the upgrades and what they do being unreadble. This gets a very low rating.
you can only select 1 weapon at a time, you pick it before each level.

It's not how MUCH cash you get...
It's how you SPEND it!
The real challenge in this kind of game is deciding which weapons to buy.
Sound quality feels rather lacking, and the graphics tend towards the harsh in some areas. Otherwise, great job, Glaiel! This one looks like sequel material to me!

((VOTED 5))
This game was really good. I didnt think it would be to fun but the whole shop thing really saved it. I liked having a whole bunch of different weapons at one time and killing everything on the screen. The graphcis were kind of boring and reptitive though. I mean black and white jsut isnt too good.
EXTRA COMMENTS: I like space games

Really good
I really enjoyed this game, and I actually liked the monochrome style. However, I have one problem...
Maybe I'm just blind, but did you actually label the weapons anywhere in game?
I mean, the Backshot, Missiles, and Laser are obvious...but for example, on mission 52 you suggest the "Wave Shot"...now is that the second weapon with the little bat-looking things that travel in a wave, the fifth weapon that I would consider a "Scatter Shot" but could certainly see how it could be called a wave gun as well, or the last weapon that shoots the triangles and then eventually the triangles plus the wavy bat things?
Otherwise, I don't have any big issues (not that naming the guns is a big issue). I think any game as long as this one gets repetetive, but you minimized it by adding the new enemies every once in a while, so yeah, good job.
My only suggestion (other than labeling the guns) is that instead of having you blow up and lose a life when you get hit, why not call the lives "Shields?" You could change the animation slightly so you look encased in a shield instead of blown up (you can even disable your ability to attack for the same length of time) and change the powerup from buying extra ships to buying a shield upgrade. Then it wouldn't feel quite as silly that an A-Fighter can take a couple hits from the same kind of bullet that completely destroys you in one shot.

good, but...
I liked it, but there are some problems too. I not always knew, what I'll fight with, so I sometimes choose a wrong weapon.
I hated those heavy bombers, becouse if I didn't spotted them in time, or they covered eachother, they were simply invincable. I really didn't miss them.
The final boss was too hard: it had too much hp, at the end I thought I must shoot it forever, altrough I used the 3. level laser. The "snowfall" that it made was wery-wery hard to dodge, but I got used to it finally. But to avoid the collosion I simply had to be lucky, becouse if it wants to hit u, u have zero chance to escape. And when I finally beated it, there was only a white screen with a simple line. U really could make some good outro in exchnge for the hard boss.
And I didn't even like the "fighting-style" of the final boss. It just moved from the left side to the right, then back, splitted the "snow" and sometimes made an irresistable charge. It wasn't boring only because I had to wach the bullets to dodge them. I think u shold make a weaker, but more exciting final boss, and some good outro.
Yeah, and u could change the music at the final levels, that wasn' good.
