Your the first person that i've seen use the graphic technique (in a tutorial at least) thats what I use, also to people who are going to do it like this, you should make a chart of numbers and they're corresponding mouth, at least until you remember them. Also you should make hotkeys to select the mouths.

Your lip synch table was very helpful to me in figuring mouth shapes for the flash I'm working on. There were some sounds missing, like 'ng' or 'th' or 'ch', but I figured what those worked with. The only different or missing shape which I needed was the 'ch' sound, which looks like a 'w, r' but with the teeth showing, slightly apart.

Also, since I am working with a very speedy character (Ruby Rhod from the Fifth Element), I found it easier to give each sound type its own layer and add the frames, much like notes on a staff. We'll see how it works, in the end, but for building the synch, so far it is working.

im a beginner to flash and am struggling away at animations my major problem was how to lip sync and you havemade that so much easier thanks again for a great tutorial
