Every 2 steps you get into a random battle. You cannot run away from the battles or avoid them. With only 2 monster types in the whole game and 1 character in your party, you will get sick real fast of all those battles.
Worse, you will NEED to grind and do countless battles to earn the 3-4 levels required for the last boss. That's torture right there.
Oh yeah, and you CANNOT save, so have fun redoing all those battles if you die.
The interface is horrible. For example you need the keyboard to move around, however each time you go into battle, you need to switch to the mouse. The menu was also not intuitive at all (for some reason it would not let equip accessories).
The story makes no sense. All you do is going into time gates and find random items just lying around. There are no goals, no objective, you just walk around aimlessly until you find the final boss that wants you dead for no reason.
With horrible story and boring, ever present battles, there is NO reason to play this. Stay away, far away.
1. having to use mouse for combat. since combat is simple menu-driven why can't we just continue using the keyboard instead of having to move our hands around? annoying
2. when you go in and out of that first portal u start the game in, you keep ending up in different places.. makes it confusing.

Not good unless you like grinding and nonsense
Probably one of the worse game on newgrounds.

nice rpg for a flash game
i'd only complain about two things
1. having to use mouse for combat. since combat is simple menu-driven why can't we just continue using the keyboard instead of having to move our hands around? annoying
2. when you go in and out of that first portal u start the game in, you keep ending up in different places.. makes it confusing.

It was great but...
Way too many random battles, I took 2 steps forward and random battle time! And then it continued in this way..
