Very well done
I love side scrolling shooters, and this is great one. Great powerups, layout, and enemies. It has it all. Who says you need good graphics and high details to make one hell of a good game?
its been done before
this kind of game has been done many times before so if you were planning to make one of these id suggest putting something new and creative in otherwise its just like all the other games of its kind. i say more powerups, more ship detail, more character picture detail and maybe you could make it a bit faster paced so its harder. but this can all be included in a sequel.
exellent, but could be so much better!
i loved the game it was very well layed out and the music was great. however the characters look horrible and the ships could use more detail. other than that it was one of the most entertaining games i ever played on newgrounds. just work on those graphics and make more extensive gameplay (more variety), but keep the simple shoot and dodge, bombs and other assorted weaponry just make it confusing and too much to think about. i dont have time to look at how many bombs i have and press "B" or some other random key while im dodging like a mad man shooting up everything that moves. the lazer powerups were great just the way they were. maybe add a few more. overall: 5/5 superb job!
ps. if u need help making character designs u can contact me, im quite good and id love to see a sequal to this game!
Buddy, you really need to work on your graphics. All those ships looked like they were drawn within seconds, as well as the characters! Also, it'd be cool if you combined mouse and keyboard to have laser and rocket or bomb combos. Plus it was very repetitive, all 4 levels had the same setup: A random barrage of the exact same ships, and then a boss. Which leads to another thing, have more variety in the enemy's fleet... A two-ship variation really made me fall asleep.
All in all, a great game, but there's always room for improvement.
I liked how you controlled the ship with your mouse. That really increses the range and speed of the movements. I'm #1 on the High Score list, at least for now anyway.
Physics platformer with time-portals. One place - two times and different level geometry.
