Fire! Fire!

Actually, didnt know what to expect with this game.
After playing it, pretty good for a start. The intro dialouge artwork needs a touch up. The controls (via mouse), solid. The graphics? Need a lil more detail.

That's about it. Overall I liked this one.

sigh

I've played about a billion of these games before, and this is no different.
Visuals were pretty "meh"
Audio was well done and appropriate
Sheer depth was lacking... I noticed that getting multiple of the same weapon upgrade did not create a better weapon, there are only those few primary weapons (and no Atomic Bomb, Mega Blast, or SOME super weapon)

In the future I would suggest dropping mouse gameplay; it's far too easy for anyone who has spent years on these games. Hone the visuals a little more, add some more weapons or even ship variations, or something I haven't seen many times before to really get me interested
So...
3/5

My years long wait is over.

A game I have been dreaming of is now real! A space shooter wich is challenging, yet easy because it has no lives. I dont give you a 10 overall because of the challenge and losing is annoying. But if it had lives, my overall score would be 3 points lower. So the cons of this game are a bit lame sounds; poorly drawn characters (EYES ARE STILL NOT IN FOREHEAD!); and difficulty drives inpatient people off as well. But it still has what is above all in a game:... Great gameplay.

Nearly perfect.

If it weren't for the character graphics that made me cry, and the lack of punctuation (not that I care entirely too much, but it would be preferable), I would consider this absolute perfection.

An excellent choice of music, challenging levels, interesting characters, useful power-ups, and enough of just about everything in only five levels to keep one playing for hours.

However, I do see one problem: the last password was too easily guessable; I guessed it just by the name of the final boss without reading the credits (which I later did, as I thought I just missed the password earlier).

This was easily one of the best flash games I have wasted two or three hours of my life playing. Keep up the good work!

Incredibly fun shooter

First of all before I start gushing over this game let me get two complaints out of the way.

Graphics, while most things like the backrounds and ships weren't terrible and at times they were rather good, the the characters were butt ugly. But seeing as they only popped up every now and then that wasn't a big problem.

The other problem, the storyline felt a little cliched and underdeveloped, but don't worry no one plays a shooter for the story.

The one reason anyone plays a shooter is for frenetic non-stop action and this game has it in spades. Constantly getting assaulted by tons of different enemies never got old throughout the game. Sure it was tough, but fortunately you were nice and gave us unlimited lives and checkpoints which saved me tons of frustration.

One of the best details was that throughout the game I found myself using each weapon at different times, while fighting one boss I was able to get close and hit him with all three shots from the pread gun while another forced me to stay back and use the rapid fire. None of the weapons was so strong that I ignored the other ones (although I did think that the triangle gun was a little too powerful).

The numerous and varied bosses and mini-bosses were a big plus for me. I never felt like I was fighting the same boss twice because they all attacked you in different ways forcing you to use different strategies to succeed making them all difficult in their own way, final boss was a bit of a push over though.

Last of all, good job with the choice of music, all the songs were great and fit the game perfectly.
