After being asked several times how to log on to our IRC channel with mIRC, I decided to make a little tutorial on how to download, configure and use it. I'm hoping it will be able to help IRC newbies from other corners of the web as well.
This tutorial covers a bit of how IRC networks are laid out, where to download mIRC, how to configure it, how to use IRC Services to register nicknames and channels, and how to strike up a conversation. If there's enough interest, I'll add scripting and other advanced topics.
Reviews and constructive criticism welcome!

Nice mIRC Tutorial

This is a very informative tutorial movie for people who wish to connect to IRC by using mIRC. It explained a lot of the technical aspects (including some stuff even I did not know) as well as basic mIRC interface. I would have probably made the music quality a bit higher, but that's really a minor issue. Good work.

Forteblast responds:

Thanks for the kind words, 00_Agent_Kid. I hope you didn't say nice things just because I asked people to on our forums. =P

You should work more on this one...

I hate mIRC, there are also many other IRC clients on the net available. The first part of this animation had some potential, soo keep up with the work!

Forteblast responds:

Will do.

long.. but good

this was good. knowledge is power.. i appreciate that you are trying to spread information about cool stuff like mIRC! it was long and i dont have enough time to read all the way through.. i read the first few "pages".. pretty good. you definitely set out to do what you wanted to. one suggestion for you:
obviously, you deem this information fairly exciting, no? you've gotta get the music to match. that stuff was putting me to sleep! throw in some.. i dont know, moby or something, chemical brothers, whatever - just make sure that, like this current music, it is without vocals - they are distracting.

another suggestion would be to UP the interactivity even more but you don't really need to do that; it would make it easier to pay attention. lots of people have problems paying attention for that long especially with black and white text ;)

People find this review helpful!
Forteblast responds:

Hmm. Some people like the music, some people don't. Maybe I'll have to give a couple of choices, like some other tutorials on here do. I definitely agree on the lack of words, though. I can't study to music that has words in it, either.
As for the interactivity... I'll work on that. I know it looks a little boring now, but that's why this is only v1.0!
