Spider-Man was created in 2000 as a portfolio piece, two years prior to the release of the live action film. Keep in mind that Flash cartoons designed for the web in 2000 needed to have small file sizes. Thus the limited character animation. Spider-Man is just over half a megabyte.
You can see some examples of my fuller traditional animation at my website www.colbybluth.com.

"Wow this is amazing!"

"Good work"
Excellent drawings too bad the animation wasn't too smooth.
"... wrong mp321"
i copied this sentance from wiki
The character first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (Aug. 1962), and was created by scripter-editor Stan Lee and artist-plotter Steve Ditko so.. ha!!!!!!!!!
"Awesome style."
This is a very nice style, which saves from having to do the ridiculous job of frame by frame animation. Also, it decreases the size of the file, making it viewable by all, instead of just those with fast internet connections. Also, to MP321, the genius below me: he meant this piece was created in 2000, not Spiderman himself. A little common sense, please.
"wha?"
wha?
"Spider-Man was created in 2000"
No way! he was in the 1960s, don't believe me!? check this out... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiderma n
