I had to give out 9. The art and animation was just that good. And two random guys putting sticks of dynamite in fake bones was kind of strange. They must have been drugged up or something. I don't see my neighbors doing that around here.
But then again, my neighbors don't have dogs that are completely unfazed by other dogs blowing up either.
The art style was amazing. I simply loved it. I don't want to imagine how much work went into this submission. It would make my head ache. I absolutely love dogs so this kind of repulsed me, but in a strange way I thought that this would be what an actual dog would be like.
Slamming and spitting out flies with your tongue. Finding happiness in a large bone (stubby tail was kind of cute). Burying the bones of a dog that just exploded in front of you. You know.
If the art and animation were so-so, I would give you a 1 right off the bat. But alas, it's amazing and a wonder on the eyes. Ha ha, don't take half of that as an insult. It's a compliment. You're able to make nice-looking, disturbing flashes. Making truly slightly disturbing flashes is a talent in its own way. And something about me is drawn to disturbing things. Like Salad Fingers or something. Or (Homicidal), the criminally insane guy romping around.
I think everyone on NG is a little out of their minds but oh well, who isn't?
I also liked it when I found myself thinking, 'No, boy! Put the bone down!' when the dog had just found the fake bone and was happily taking it to his little bone spot. It actually generated some panic. Maybe it was just me, but I don't like seeing doggie-insides everywhere.
That's one of the better short films.
