I got this idea from Dylan Jones who'd made a SF tutorial himself. It was a good tutorial but I saw a lot of things that could have been better. That's why I made this tutorial. So special thanks to Dylan Jones!
I'll try to make a new version later, with much better scripting, until then, I hope you'll enjoy this tutorial!

"Useful..."
I would love to know how to make another character fight you. Like u Vs PC. That would be really ace.
"Covered the basics....the VERY basics."
That's all well and good, but no projectiles (Hadouken!) No shoryukens? You need more detail in this.
"good but dont know how to get some of the things"
where do u find flash
"nicely presented, but script problem on STEP 4.4"
The presentation is very nice and easy-to-follow. A great format for anyone trying to learn action script. The only problem is that the script doesn't quite work. Whenever I finish the script up to the end of the jumping portion, my guy becomes frozen, all the controls are eliminated by something in the script. I used process of elimination by using the // to deactivate different portions of the script until I discovered the culprit. STEP 4.4 of your tutorial for some reason causes all of the controls in the script to stop working. If that portion of the script is left out, the character will walk, crouch, and jump, but he won't come down from his jump and remain stuck at the top of the screen. You must have left a step out (like maybe defining what inair was in the script or something) but the script does not work correctly if you follow the tutorial exactly.
"Brill, but..."
it helped me for exactly wot i needed but when i junped it kept going, punches and kicks only showed the first frame of that animation. and yes i did copy it EXACTLY as it said
