Possibly long-lost relatives of Shotgun Man, these trenchcoat-clad teams have much better things to do than shoot their classmates.
Robots aren't supposed to have emotions...
However, perhaps robots can be conscious of the fact that they lack something essential that humans have and sometimes take for granted, or perhaps they can have emotions and not be aware of it...
-Daily second place! Well, I'm thrilled but the robot is pretty indifferent about it.
-Thank you Tom, for featuring this on the frontpage! (March 19th-21st)

Wrong at its core
Desire for emotions is an emotion in itself. Robots would need emotion to want to have emotion, so the entire argument doesn't have any logical basis. It implies that the robots are sad because they have no emotions, but sadness is an emotion. Good try, but most people fail at this kind of video.
Yes, you do have a point. But if a robot is capable of independant thought isn't it also possible that they may have emotion... even without being aware of it?
Or possibly they may not have emotion at all but are aware of the human capacity for it and know that they are not at their full potential because they lack something essential?
I often wonder what purpose throughout evolution emotion serves... isn't it funny that we evolved to have a sense of humor and the capacity for jealousy?
Why would a robot not evolve similarly through it's artificial intelligence?

It was very slow and obvious. The graphics were amazing, but what really really bothered me is that robots dont blink. They dont NEED to blink. Not only do they not have eyelids but even if this robot did ha[[en to have been built with eyelids, it would serve absolutely no purpose, since blinking (for humans) ust makes it so theyre eyes dont get dry.
And the flash was boring.
Graphics were cool, though.
Thanks for the complement about the graphics.
Yeah, people often say my movies are slow and/or boring. I dunno what to do about that, I kind of like the way they're paced. :/
No, robots don't blink and they probably wont in the future. But it does sort of give a human quality to the robot, I feel.

Wait a Second...
If the robot really had no emotions it wouldn't care about its lack of emotions or even try to have emotions. Its only the presence of emotions in people that makes them care about the fact that they have emotions. This caring is an emotion itself, IMHO.
Hmmm... you do make a fine point and the single most common issue that people seem to have with this piece is that they feel that the robot is exhibiting emotion in either his desire to obtain emotion or the sadness he seems to exhibit.
I never meant this to be a logical examination of potential robotic behavior if there were such creatures capable of independant thought and living without humans. But if it was would it be wrong to suggest that it might be difficult to predict what a robotic mind capable of such a life would be like?

Paradox!
Ok.. So... It's a sad robot. He walks slowly.I get it.
Also: If he has no emotions, why does he have such a desire to have emotions?
Conclusion: Graphics were fine, although there were only like 2 things in the movie, and it was sort of monotone. Music fit, but was only sound. Plot not really that original. Meh. It's still better than quite a lot of the stuff on NG.
Heh. You're right, of course. ^_^
But who does't enjoy a good paradox once in awhile?
Maybe..? :P
