Robots aren't supposed to have emotions...
However, perhaps robots can be conscious of the fact that they lack something essential that humans have and sometimes take for granted, or perhaps they can have emotions and not be aware of it...

Wow that was really good.
I was wondering what the 'empty' was there for. Then I realized it was what the robot was feeling.

Wow...
Really clever. You managed to show the "tinman's" emothions through shades of background and light representation
Suggestions
It was a bit short- but everything fitted in. Try making it slightly longer next time

Yeah, I was thinking it was short too, but I wasn't sure what to do about it then.
Now I know exactly what I should have done but it's too late to change anything... It'll have to be a learning experience for next time. ^_^

Emotion...
Well I think this robot shows 2 emotions. Despair and hope, with creating a heart he showed hope and by braking it and falling to the ground sad and emotionally destroyed he showed despair, so practically he strives for something he already has ;)
Good animation and story I like it.
Yeah, it was a pretty pointless exercise for our hero, wasn't it?
Reminds me of something... my life, I guess. :P
