The animation rocketDRIVE was originally supposed to be a longer and more "cinematic" animation which was not to be released untill winter 2005. However, as I liked the character so much I started practicing with him and ended up with a one minute (more or less) long animation. This animation (well 90% of it) was created during 7 days of intense progress. Enjoy! :)

Update (27/02/05):
Frontpage! My lifegoal is completed now I shall die and rest in peace for all eternity. Thanks!

About the music: Im not replying to people who's saying "nice animation but I hate the music". Punk require a certain taste. Either you like, you hate it, but dont tell me please. :)

Update 28/02/05:
The pink hair is my tribute to legendary japanese guitarist Hideto 'hide' Matsumoto and his pink hair. The name "rocketDRIVE" comes from a misspelling of the song "Rocket Dive" by hide with Spread Beaver (a J-rock band).

i dunno why they dont like the track. its a good song, perhaps something with less vocals and more guitars would have been better, but this one is just fine. truly a great piece. i love the way he moves so fluidly. u have done a great job. *_*

Not bad at all.

I have to agree with aztec9 in one aspect: stick with what you want, not the crowd. This is pretty kickass although I would like to know what the hell is going on besides asskicking, but I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. Keep it up man, this is going places.

Excellent flash...i must say though that the music doesn't quite fit but...aparently you dont want to change it and i respect that. It shows that you are proud of what you have done and are sticking to your beliefs and not just changing it because everyone else is telling you too.

...just thought i'd give my opinion on the whole thing...

Excellent! Slick! Polished! Tight!

Okay, Bravo, Bravo!

Despite all the music critics out there, the music was absolutely perfect for the movie. It's energy and pacing matched up exactly. It also kept the movie from being dark and dismal. I think the musical choice and the use of it there in are your strongest points. The animation was also very very very clean. This didn't look like a lot of the...well...amaturish stuff that shows up all the time. This looked and felt like the work of a pro. Using one song to carry the movie then slowing down into the credits was pure genius. It gave the entire thing the feeling of completion. I've never chosen to review anything here before, but this one deserves it. Thank you!
