Just to clear something up first of all, I'm not making fun of 3D games in general. There's a lot of games I think are awesome that just wouldn't work in 2D, like the Halo series, Metroid Prime, and the 3D Marios. The thing is, there's also a lot of games that use 3D where 3D isn't necessary, namely 2 1/2D games.
