This was the first movie I saw on Newgrounds. One of my friends sent it to me. Then I saw it and loved it. I just decided to watch it again.
Things like this can be astounding to me. Sure, the animation quality was a bit off, since you said you only had four months of experience, but the cuteness makes up for things like that in this type of work.
More people should make more things like this.

Shows talent, good stylistic drawings using anime reference to show the emotions since no dialog was used. Nice little story, good pop of humor at the end. The sound didn't do it for me, the adventure-y theme music should have wah-wahed out when the dragon crashes, switched to something softer to match the emotion of your storyline. The movement animation is very kludgy but you still drawings look very good and in some moments this looked great. I think you have talent and I bet your animations will get really, really good if you keep working on them!

This shows incredible potential, i personally disagree with an earlier comment about appealing to a wider audience, i say stay with what you enjoy, and are comfortable with. I believe you won't be as good at what you do unless you truly enjoy them. I'd say this is better than a good 50% of Newgrounds, snaps and claps! Wonderful!
