WOW! This cartoon has been mentioned in the pages of Wizard magazine! Unfortunatley it doesn't show up until the third page if you do a search for it. Hopefully the readers will still be able to find it.

Yeah, it's insane how many heroes and villains have taken the dirt nap, only to be revived, despite how many never return. The most notable is when they tried to say Captain America may not be dead. You can't just enact a deus ex machina and expect people to not be confused.
