Programmed by Tom Fulp, this game is like Atari on acid!
A KEY = SHOOT
S KEY = MEGA CANNON (must try this!)
DOWN KEY = SHIELDS
LEFT & RIGHT = MOVE SHIP
Your shield absorbs enemy life to raise your own health. The more you charge your shield, the bigger the impact!
Also, your Mega Cannon is enhanced when you have a fully charged shield!
The Captain Low-Rez series originally appeared on Newgrounds in January of 2001, but was never submitted via the Portal. It is in the process of being moved into the Portal system, for consistency.
This was fun, but it was like every other shooter that's ever been created. It wasn't bad, but literally everything in this game has been done before. The entire game was sort of boring and forgettable, which is something I usually don't except from Tom Fulp. It was weird.
If you were to remake this or make a sequel, I'd say you should have more choices in music within the games and give the game more variety in sprites and colors. The "Atari on Acid" thing wasn't that neat, so I'd say a rehaul would be needed.
So, like I said, this wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was mediocre and that's a shame for something that came from the legendary Tom Fulp...
mega boss, srsly. no other comments about it. just me. -1 for worst unintentional penis i've evar seen
its maddnesssssss !!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing Atari Acid!
Wundergame. Like the Lo-Rez style, more low-res than original games of late 70 - early '80s
it is amazing!
I love everything atari or atari styled! This is amazing, for the day and age it was created, way back on the old crappy early flash it is amazing! Games like this are like marmite it whould look like a massive pile of pissed on dog crap to any cod fans but to people like me who love this style of game its pure fucking gold!
Context? Context is for casuals.
