Take out the entire interactivity part... make one movie that shows every one attacking cell until gohan arrives... but instead of telling us what happened, show us, don't type out the storyline. If cell is unaffected by an attack wouldn't we want to hear him say, "Hmpph, weakling", or something to that effect?

but if you are gonna copy dragonball z from the tv show don't use text, and get rid of the interactivity, it would have been a whole lot better if you just made the fighters fight cell and than finished him of with gohan. keep trying though

Anyhoo, this was a nice try the beginning art was pretty nice (I take it you traced those pics or something). It woulda been better if there was more animation. You should spend some time on your movies and make them better.
You should improve on this (graphics,animation and sound) and re submit it after.

This is a good start, however, i found that the aenergy beam animation took a little too much time for my liking, but this can be due to the fact that these guys need some time to power up. it would be cool if you animate the power up stage also. well, Don't give up!
It must of taken you days and nights to draw the other pictures. Nice sound too.
It was good, but you should make it into a movie with animation showing them fight. your on the right track. DBZ RULES!!!!!

Once Gohan reaches SSJ2, I think Cell coughs up 18 and then Goku has to sacrifice himself to the world from destruction. Then Cell kills Trunks and then tries to take out Vegeta, but didn't. Gohan then shoots a Kamehameha blast, and Cell does as well. Piccolo, Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha get involved, but they could not hurt Cell. So Vegeta does a blast on Cell, and that gave Gohan the chance to kill him.
Also I think there were more challengers...but I haven't got to that episode yet. I think there's Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Krillin.
But anyways, it was kind of decent.
Hmmmm. Interesting one this. Good graphics (even though some is traced and some is hand drawn), sound is a bit dodgy, animation is a bit to slow and there is too much interactivity. Other than that, a really good first movie.
Except for the fact that Vegita used big kubang attack and not the gay ass american attack, it is pretty good. The traced characters were very cool. I think there should have been more.

*YAWN* Was this a school project of some sort? Not only was this pointless, being that all of this can be seen on Toonami, but I had these episodes a whole year before it came out, so I was bored to tears. If you'd fabricated some sore of really unique way of telling the story, you might've gotten a 2. Overall, very crappy.
it sucks, but it still took a lot of talent. this guy could make a great game if he put a little effort into it.
...like Madness said, albeit with a load of grammar miscues and what looks like a broken Caps Lock key, you're not one to be lecturing anyone about spelling goofs. In the title of this movie you misspelled 'Interactive'. You have the awful habit of capitalizing certain words for no good reason, lest you decieve yourself into thinking your grammar skills are above a middle school level. Hell, in the first sentence of your 'story', you capitalize Story, Begins, At and Start. I'm amazed you didn't decide to capitalize everything and throw any semblance of grammar out the window.
Back to your less than amazing grasp of spelling. For Trunks' scenario, 'viscious' has only one s (vicious) and 'unconscious' has two of them (unconscious). In Goku's scenario, it's rejoiced, not rejoyced; affected, not effected; realized, not realised. For Vegeta/Vegita's scenario: extraordinary, not extrodinary; despite, not dispite; severely, not severly; admitted, not admited. You fudged a few more words, including some in Gohan's scenario, but the point has been made.
Namely, get yourself a satisfactory grasp of how to use/spell words in the English language. At least then you might get away with acting like a total snob in terms of spelling errors.
Can we say..."Dictionary", i mean...seriously, how old are you!?!?! YOU SPELL LIKE A 7 YEAR OLD!, shit, i wouldn't be surprised if you have MORE grammatical errors than a 7 year old!, seriously man, buy a dictionary, or look the fuckin words up on the internet...and the graphics!, WHAT IN THE HELL!, i mean...the graphics weren't THAT bad...but, they were kinda fucked up..., and, I clicked on Vegeta, and it gave me the end of Gohan's scenario!, the second time I did, it DID give me Vegeta's...but still, it's a lil screwed up...but, you said to go easy on ya...so, i hope i did :P, seeing as how it's your FIRST movie...ill give you a 7 :), just to be nice, cuz...well, I guess that IS pretty good for the first time...EVER
It was really good. Not counting the grammer mistakes it was great. I loved it. It was great. I give it a 9:) I would have never believed it was your first movie.
gohan did not become a ssj2 because cell got him mad its because #16 was killed by cell!!!
all the peeps who say otherwise suck and just for the record gohan goes ssj2 because he sees all his friends like piccolo getting beat down by the cell juniors then 16 gets stomped and his hesd talks to goahn then gohan gets pissed and goes ssj2
Nice work for a first "movie". The sounds were fantastic, the highest part of the Flash. I do not know if this could be considered a game, as there is only one way to go. Though I guess a lot of games are like this, so its excellent work!

Nice work on your debut movie in the Portal. DBZ's one of my all-time favorite anime shows and although it's your typical Flash film, nice sotrylines, too.
I hope you can make more stuff like that in the Portal.

This was more like a movie than a game. I though that the author did a pretty good job, but the graphics weren't that good. Pretty disappointing, but a good effort.
This was a pretty nice summary of the Perfect Cell saga, & the sound was OK when there was any, but this still sucked pretty badly. Don't be turned off to Dragonball Z because of this, though. being a big Dragonball fan myself I have memorized the entire Cell Saga, and I would suggest finding some japanese Dragonball tapes with subtitles rather than the Cartoon Network version.
what the Hell is this? this is not a game!! all you get to do is choose a character and then watch a dumbass recreatin of what happened in the Cell Games. this blows!!
Any1 who watches DBZ knows that vegeta would never give up like that,and gohan actually did know he had the power to defeat cell,but didnt wanna use it.and goku didnt attack head on at first and neither did gohan.vegetas blasts did nothing to cell,and goku kamehameha wave with his "instant transmission" took out half of cell but he regenerated.This movie sucked really bad and is a disc\grace to dbz.
This game is cool you pick your DragonBall Z character and they show you that character figting with cell.Its based on the cell saga.

"Hey, a DBZ flash game? Well.. I love the series, so let's see what new twists someone has made! What? No twists? Gohan wins? I remember that from the series..." Yeah. This is a piece of shit. Not because of the bad graphics or sound (because like the maker said, it is their first movie), but because of the total lack of interactivity and the total lack of plot. Everyone's seen the Cell saga. Seeing Gohan beat Cell was sweet in the show, but not in this game. If you say it's interactive, make it FUCKING INTERACTIVE! Seriously, don't ever make a movie again. And could SOMEONE make a GOOD DBZ flash game? PLEASE??
on a lighter note, i did like the drawings of the characters on the selection screen... but other than that, please improve.
Well if you drew those characters yourself then good on ya. The problem is is that while the characters looks nice on the selection screen the fights are lame and it is just a matter of choosing Gohan to win. This isnt really a game, more an interactive slide show.

this movie/game was cool
I really liked this one. The animation was really good and the sounds where awesome. The Kamehameha by Gohan was excellent; the one by Goku was good; the Final Flash sound was really good. So overall you did a really good job ^_~
and it's fun too. Almost like an RPG.

Since it's your first entry, I'll be lenient. The thing barely interacts, so it belongs in the tributes section, not the games section. A decent effort...It just wasn't very good. Nice job recreating the characters, though...
I am very upset by this piece of crap. You should have made it more interactive by allowing people to choose what to do. It has potential but needs to be improved vastly to recieve better reviews.
the problem here is that you dont give anything to do, oh lets pick Goku cos hes super cos we all love him, i like vegeta and he loses, i know y cos he does in the seires but Gohan wins and Goku gives the hint. so theres a ½ chance of winning, (Goku dont lose ppl i wanna spoil it)

Starting off the review saying that this movie was pretty good for the author's first attempt. The animation is solid, much better than the other Dbz movies and game shit on Newgrounds. Loved how he used the Japanese voices for some of the scenes. Now it's time for the nit-picks. Ummm... I thought this was a game not a pick and watch deal. Whatever it doesn't bother me that much. Not the best not the worst.

While the thing itself is great, it isn't really a game. That's not to say it isn't bad. Though I was disappointed it WASN'T a game, it still brought a smile to my face. It depicted the whole thing quite nicely. I keep on thinking though that Vegeta's attack is called "Final Blast". Maybe I'm wrong. It sounds better to me at least. Keep up the good work. I enjoyed it. :)

This is fun. I like the way you combine interactivity with the cell saga from DBZ. The graphics were good and it was a pretty sweet "ride".

It's a fair movie, but if I'm not mistaken, you made two major errors with what was done. 1. Gohan used an Ultra Masenko, not a Kamehameha. 2. Vegeta didn't blow off Cell's wings, he blew off Cell's arm.
Divenegon, that WAS the kamehameha. In the japanese version and american, you clearly hear Gohan chanting "Ka..me..ha...me..HA!" and it is formed like the kamehameha except with one hand
OK Diviegon2130 and Vincent_Glass, this is how it breaks down. Yes, Gohan DID fire a Kamehameha at Cell. The reason he only uses one arm is because he took a serious blast from Cell in his other arm when he saved Vegeta from Cell's finishing move. And in the Vegeta scene, Vegeta actually blew off Cell's entire right side, wings, arms, everything except his legs (not just his wings like in this flash). But despite that inaccuracy, these are some great pix and an overall good movie.
It just blew, it's not even a "game." Sounds pop out of nowhere and the story is very inaccurate. Crap.

Gohan did not go ssj2 by cell making him angry,he went ssj2 cuz cell killed android 16.And gohan did not defeat Cell byhimslef,Vegeta shot a ki blast which distracted him,and then goku told gohan to do full power.
Next time try drwing all the characters, not just the ones you animate, get better sound and make some more scenes. Also, this isn't really a game. Try to make something where you can control their movements and attacks. Good first try though.

Poorly drawn saiyans and all that crap were quickly surpassed by the poor storyline, as Rac said earlier, Gohan sounds like a twelve-year-old girl being violated with a stick. That was pointless and stupid. the only thing that helped it out was the multitude of traced vector graphics taken from the series. At least they looked halfway decent in contrast with some of the other DBZ crap here.

this isnt actually a gamse is it? but then you did admit that at the start... the animation was very substandard and there was a highly distinct lack of detail here. it need backgrounds and a variety of movement in the characters rather that using their simple appearance and moving them about the screen.
that game was not a real game! it takes three seconds to beat it(even tho u don't really do nething but hit a button).i do not recomend this

I gave the graphics a deserving 4 because the characters were pretty poorly drawn, and the music u had was VERY short and just kept repeating. and when vegita was getting ready to do the final flash he had the arms of a baby... i mean look at his fingers when he points his hands forward, they must be like 1 inch long each. i gave sound a four because there isnt much and what is there sucks. gohan does not sould like the gay, qweer ass little kiddy voice u gave him when he did the kamahameha. violence was good because of the blood on gohans face. oh and rabid_fuzball. u dont decide who loses or wins its already preset for every1 but gohan to lose. so interactivity gets a 4 because theres only 4 people to choose from. other than that it was ok.

Why do people say this is the worst piece of shit they've ever seen? It wasnt all that bad, you had 4 people to choose from, each with their own perspective. And Mothhive included real sound clips from the show. The animation wasnt that bad either. This movie showed good effort and I dont think its a piece of crap.
Animations with vsyncing, framerating where quite good actually, the sound was quite good too, i would say 128 buffering, and now i defenatly know why i choose application developper, over graphics designer.Quite good right here only very underated, indeed people who are used to flash guru's would find this a bit dissapointing while there is some hard work in this.
These people, should shove a finger up there ass and rotate for not respecting other people's hard work

It would have been nice if the characters had been better designed. The voices were taken from the Ocean dub of DBZ. Except for when Vegeta said "Final Flash" that was taken from the Japanese version.
It is quite good. More stuff like this should be made.

the idea of how it was shown was good, and some of art work was better then most people have done, but i agree with RAEN, about Goku's Kamehameha wave, the chargeing up was poorly done

i would have to say that it wasnt bad. it couldve been much better, more like an actual game. nice for your first try though man. dont even let some of these assholes get 2 u since they probably couldnt even make somthin.or if they can a huge piece of shit. nice choice of sounds. just need some practice, your going in the right direction.
This isn't too spectacular, really. Those who know the Cell Saga (or make a lucky guess) can find the "good" ending immediately. The graphics could have been a bit better, as could the audio. The storyline was somewhat butchered.
Overall, it was pretty good for a first attempt, but I'd suggest a bit more interactivity, and a bit more correlation to the show, as well as trying to improve the graphics and sound.

My god, what idiots some of you are, the reason Goku gave up was because he couldnt defeat Cell you idiot. Cell wasnt even using his full power and Goku was! Cells energy never seemed to go down, but Gokus was plummeting. Even with the senzu bean. He wouldnt have defeated Cell, he needed more power, like Gohan. And its not called the father-son kamehahmehah for godsake. Thats just from the game you idiot. It's a normal kamehahmehah, just Goku was talkign to Gohan. Its not a different attack. Pretty good, could use a longer storyline, maybe next time a choice your own adventure, stead of just letting it go where it wants.
i got to click a button and read words it was so fun.
First off I didint have a very good impression of this with the ohhirble music and the ugly black scrolling text on the white nackground. Ugh. Second the graphics wernt anything special and definately not something to be proud of as i had trouble realising they were from DBZ.
Lastly there was no actual sound in the flash and just nthat stupid scrolling text coming up while hardly anything happened. Oh and choose your fighter? Yeah what difference does that actual make since you dont get to CONTROL them.
Meh... not REALLY bad but yeah... put more sound in it and faster animations. Look at other submissions, contact the authors. And, to be honest, put a LOT more work in it. Make it FEEL like DBZ. Pretty original though. Hope you submit more ;).

ive got to say that was pretty boring but... its good for a first movie :)
Graphics not bad, sound not too bad....but it ressembles rather the little interactive short movie than a game and thus it's boring.
It's simple and short but if it had been more interactive, it would've been more interesting (fighting game).Or if it had been longer, I mean with more options to choose, it would've been also more interesting.

I'm not going to be out of order and really slag of your work like some of the previous morons, but the only things i agreed with them was the fact that, it wasn't a game, it was more of a animated story book, but i can see what you're saying when you had the character selection menu, and the other downside was that you had to wait for the introduction bit first before you could choose another character's story....

Firts of all this shouldnt be a game, its just a flash movie with little interaction. The graphics are purely sprites but I don't blame you, it being your first. There were some good sound clips in there, they just didnt go too well with the animation. I got the 3 points for humor cause of how funny it looked when it shows Cell punching Gohan over and over in the face.

This submission was alright, but I think you could have done a little bit of voices in it ionstead of just the text. Ok, though, for a first submission.
There wasn't alot of spelling errors..... just afew minor ones.... And the graphics? They weren't bad.... Just keep practicing and you'll get better at it.... ^_^
