Evil Josh & Billy: 01
"Darkside of the Spoon"
Evil Josh is a teenage villain with high aspirations of growing to become a supervillain. Billy wishes to become the maddest scientist in the history of the world. This is a snippet of their everyday lives, such as it is.
He, it seems your humor is even going over the heads of some of the reviewers.
I love forcing an audience to think your presenting this, and then revealing something completely different.
The detatched arm and the werespoon instead of an overpopulated australia are really good examples. Great humor!
Evil? I hadn't noticed...
Hilarious stuff, very reminiscent of the Simpsons (way of thinking and the episode where they go to Australia) and much better than most of the sitcoms on Newgrounds: not excessively random. Theme tune was good, sounded like a MIDI track from the good old Monkey Island games. Two questions: why did an arm appear from the top of the screen to dip the spoon in the concoction, and was there any meaning to the white screen with the scrolling piece of text? Good luck to you on this new series. You've changed the way I look at cutlery (i.e. from afar, through a telescope).
The disembodied arm was just because I was too lazy to bend Billy's own arm. In the screwy world I created here I thought I could get away with it.
The text on the white screen I'm assuming is when the characters go "chibi". It says "shi~n" which is Japanese for silence. I just had a pause in the dialogue and wanted to do something slightly more interesting than just standing there.
"were-spoon? " "yeah" "because he bit you?" " yeah" " you know if we'd kept him around i could have studied him and made an antidote" " hind-sight" "yeah"
- that was fucking great!
maybe touch up the sound a little but otherwise good work :)
I have a few problems with this...
I liked the characters for a moment, then realized that Evil Josh's voice is Homer Simpson's voice and then he starts explaining things like Homer also. The ecosystem line is direct from the episode in which Bart leaves a frog in AUSTRALIA and causes the country to dwindle and fall.
I think that it could have been done better with lines that weren't rehashed. I liked the spoon idea, but then it looked as if you just couldn't come up with something to do with it. :-\
Fernando's side project interferes with Gooseman's plans for the business.
Ever wondered what happens when you transfer your Pokemon in Pokémon GO!?
