"Another great chapter..."
date: November 27, 2005
My certain inclination toward this Flash was the fight. I saw the word "fight" and I was thinking a combination of Broken Saints' ritually phenomenal artwork and fast-paced action. I got action, but not fast-paced--it sufficed anyway. In fact, I'm very impressed at how you could articulate a dual in still-frames so well. Still very awesome in almost every respect. Even though my fawning was a bit out of context, I think it was great from the stance of action AND drama.
To answer the question of the previous poster: We watch this series because we're looking for something to relate to. A lot of people saw Broken Saints and thought "guns, blood and action" and were disappointed by the lack of unsullied pace and the contrasting style. We keep sifting through each chapter, looking for just what we need to "like" this series. Because we want to like this series--we want to acknowledge it for the masterpiece that it is. It just doesn't...suit our tastes...yet.
