I traced a bunch of sprites, and drew the backgrounds, making for an awesome look to the movie. Enjoy!

Dark: A user with a dark aura has a tendency to vote low on movies. Keep in mind, they don't have a dark aura because they vote low on bad movies - they have a dark aura because they vote low on movies that most other people find good. Users like this are either very critical or just plain mean and bitter. There is a lot of crap in the Portal that gets high marks, so just because someone has a dark aura doesn't necessarily mean they are an asshole. Heck, they might be helping clean out the crap.
it was worth a few chuckles...I am sooo glad you decided not to go with sprites...even though you used line are versions of the sprites it was so much better...

Every chapter was as funny as the one that followed. You clearly payed alot of attention to detail and that's what I liked about it most.

What this flash lacks in originality, it makes up in pure awesomeness! Nicely animated, and the sprites were excellently converted into drawings. It was also quite funny. And when I said that this wasn't original, I meant the idea for the flash itself, because some of the mishaps were actually very VERY original. Good work!
I really liked these shorts, and I thought they were funny. I would have liked to hear more voices, however I thought the bit about the not ordering a trampoline was funny.. =) You should put the subtitles (like with the mushrioom man) up a little longer.

Better than I expected. Usually when one says "DX" It means the other one was crap. But this was not bad. Favorite one was the first one, and Falling Hurts. I heard you used Homer's screams in there eh?

Graphics: Custom sprites make it look much better. Good idea.

Humour: I laughed my ass off when I watched this. Funnier than Billy Connolly, well not really, but you know what I mean.
Pretty good. Don't do what newgrounds tell you what to do to make it better. I think it's funnier with sprites. Since these are so short, you should make more shorts in one.
The homer simpson sounds are a lil overdone don't you think? XD

Graphics: (9/10) I am very impressed how well Mario and the others look in this movie. Your idea to change the sprites into more realistic characters was a great idea.
Style: (10/10) Your selection of outtakes impressed me. The ideas in my opinion were all right; though I'm certain they have been used a lot in the past, they had to do it with the old sprites or something.
Sound: (4/10) I really would have preferred the NES music over the SNES music for Super Mario Bros. It would just sound a little bit funnier. The Homer Voices didn't help the score at all, but most of the other voice acting was all right.
Violence: (5/10) Not very bloddy, but it can get kind of violent.
Interactivity: N/A
Humor: (10/10) Mario is just a funny man when he screws up.

I loved the one from your earliest Mario flash (I think) where Mario got a call to plunge a clogged toilet, and said "son of a bitch" while he was doing it. That was the best on of your series.

Well, I am glad you retraced the sprites instead of using the originals. Their were a lot of jokes, but most of them were not that inteligent (I hope that makes sense...) Seemed like you were goin more for quantity than quality. Also, the homer simpson sound clips were overused I'd say.

Very funny, nice graphic upgraded from 8-bit and sound was OK. Liked the end music. Favourite was The Last Straw.

This flash was great, after the first one I already laughed. Then it became a bit lame, but then with the "Falling hurts" I had a hard time breathing, and the emperors new groove rip off - nice.

Well thats certainly a first... Who would of thought redrawing actual sprites would of actually looked good? Well i'll tell you something, You did a really good job with this movie. Marios driving drunk was definetely my fav.
I found this to be one of the funniest sprite shorts ever made, especially the first one and "Falling Hurts." I would have given you a 9, however I noticed that the trampoline joke was blatantly stolen from a particular animated movie. (You know what movie I'm talking about.) There may have been other things stolen, but most of it's just slapstick which is always the same joke used in different ways, but is always funny nonetheless. XD

No, I don't think this deserves to be the Daily Feature, but this movie kicked some major ass. Some of them weren't that funny (Bust a Nut, the Stoner one), but for the bad ones, there was at least one amazingly hilarious one (Last Straw, Driving Drunk). Plus, it looked nice, and the sound was flawlessly blended in (though some of the songs got monotonous after a while). All in all, this kicked ass. Nice job.

I really like the style of this!! It looks cool. I liked the music, and the stuff was pretty funy. The "Falling hurts" one's the best because I liked the koopas' voices. Plus, Mario cartoons are always funny.

It's not as good, because it's funny when it looks like it actually happened in the game, because you used sprites. Now it just looks like you drew mario messing up (which you did)

I really liked how you re-drew the sprite and animated. The only thing that I wasn't too fond of were the over-used Homer Simpson sounds. I thought the movie could have been better if you would have done your own voice acting. Still a good flash; just a thought for future projects perhaps? Good work overall.

Man that was funny! And hand drawn makes it even cooler by breaking away from typical sprite animation. I enjoyed the "Princess is in another castle" spoof with the chainsaw, plus the blender among the best.
Just one thing bothers me...Mario didn't go crazy this time!
That was pretty ok. But, I think this movie is really REALLY overrated.
First off, I wish you had stuck with sprites. Sure, it takes more talent to convert the drawings. But when doing a video game parody with re-drawn sprite images, it's kinda like... well, it's like putting in that extra effort to make it actually look worse. Plus,I usually think that Video Game Parodies SHOULD have the pixelated look... especially if they're supposed to look like they are outtakes from the game itself.
Some of them got a chuckle out of me, though, although only maybe one or two of them were really REALLY funny. (the one ending with the hammer bros talking about the trampoline was probably the only one that i laughed out loud at.) The rest were just sorta "heh heh heh heh..."
But this was a good work, though. I don't mean to sound like i didn't like it, becuase i DID like it. It's also very similar to my first movie i did a long time ago called "Kendo Rage Outtakes" ..except this mario movie is better than mine. Well, except for overusing Mario. It IS kinda getting a bit old and stale, no offence.
But you did put forth a good effort. Does it deserve to be on the main page? I guess it does, yeah. But I feel that it just sorta barely earns it's spot there. Although, i don't think this deserves the steady rating of "4" it recieves. Becuase that would place it in the "This Flash is the crunk! fo shizzle" catagory, when it really deserves more of a 3.10 or a 3.20. Becuase I like it, it's nice.. but it's not overly impressive, and the Mario thing has been done to death already. Heck.. i've done 2 decent mario movies, but i haven't put either on Newgrounds becuase there's already too many mario movies on NG as it is.
Anyway, i'd say this movie is average. Not outstanding or overly amazing. So, yeah.. i guess this movie meets my approval.
Lastly, I really put some thought into this review. Becuase 80% of the little angsty, illiterate kid population of NG seems to be unable to write a very good review, whether the movie they review is good OR bad. Either it's "OMG THAT WAS SWEEEET DO MORE" or "THAT WAS GAY YOU SUXXX!!" I hope that my constructive review was both fair, and an informational alternative.

Not bad, but be more original. ANYONE can pull out someone getting hit in the ballls or a innocent character pulling out a deadly weapon. Give it some more work with the style and you've got yourself a grade A movie. Nicely done with the sound by the way. Good quality. And make your next one longer, it's kinda hard to get into.

I think this did do quite well for something that's only just been submitted (correct me if I'm wrong) and to be honest I was expecting something better. I thought it was quite random, but not really random enough, the only point that really made me laugh (I say laugh - it was more of a kind of chuckle) was Mario's drunk driving.
As sanguine89 said, this movie isn't really that original either, and it didn't really deliver anything that nobody would expect.
I do however, have to say that Mario was well drawn, and that sound was very well used. But overall - Pretty average.

It's not that good. I didn't even finish watching it because I got so bored. You're lucky I'm nice enough to give you that good of a score. The only thing that was really good was the music. And you put way too much Simpson sound effects in there. It seems a lot of people like this flash though, but it's not my taste.

This is your 4th Mario Mishaps, no? I think your Star Fox piece said it the best, "This same old shit again?". I personally see no reason for it's score past 3.6, and a spot on the front page. Granted the transfer to pixel to traced was better; but it didn't change any aspect of the humor....Mario getting hurt. Personally I would rather see you put your time and effort into a series where you can make your own characters, your own plot(Not random people getting hurt using Homer's scream), your own world. Please, team up with your people at your set and make a collab. series. So please, do not make another Mario-getting-hurt-type-movie. I personally do not find it funny; while it seems many other people do. But whatever, like what you like. I'm not telling you to go fuck yourself but I am telling you what I think of your movie.

Nothing spectacular... not a whole lot that was really new... the animation was real nice, but the graphics, although I understand easier to animate than the sprites, could have been better. All in all it was a nice piece.
It was a great flash animation, don't get me wrong. The graphics were upgraded, the humor was ingenius, plenty of violence, but you forgot about the fire flower. Some kind of fire related mishap would be semi-funny, but now that it's out in the open it may not be as funny as I first thought. Anyway, keep up the great work!
You went from having a 2D to having a sorta 3D kinda graphic any way that was pretty funny lots of different sound effects and lots of funny stuff. I love this movie 9 out of 10

The video was pretty good.At the beggining it was boring and un funny untill it reached the middle.From there on it became more attractive for me.God job but, there are some areas you need to improve on.
Not the greatest Mario video, but I'll give you credit for trying a different way of going about it by actually drawing the characters instead of just using sprites. Humor had its moments but also had some flat spots too.

Mario spoofs have been overdone, it's just that simple. Had this been original, it would have been funny. Homer's voiceovers were pretty good. Toad at the end of the castle... If you would have expanded on that spoof a little more every1 would love this thing. That part right there would have given you 10s all around. The animation was pretty good. If you come up with more original ideas you could be a great animator. Just PLEASE stop with the Mario spoofs!

I have seen a few great Mario parodies and this one is such a great Mario parody. I must appreciate your graphics since it was mostly some sprites traced, making the flash look very nice. Great thinking of the idea of re-drawing the sprites like that. Also, good selection of music used in this flash.
There were quite a lot of funny parts in this flash, but my favourite had to be the Hammer scene and the building crash. Such great scenes and great to have a laugh as well. Great work in this flash!

I am not that big of a fan of Mario, but I must say that this flash was interesting and a bit entertaining. I thought the first one was a bit intense to start off with. Usually humor like that is in the middle of the flash, but you make your flash movies how you want to. To some it might be one of the funniest things they have ever seen. To other it might be the worst. I stand a bit in between. I was not laughing out loud, but I did find some of the thing funny.

I really liked the music, but I will tell you what was bad. The part were Mario fell on that "Giant Trampoline" where it used the lines from a Disney movie killed the joke. I do hate Mario, but in the last scene, didn't the part where Mario was drinking and driving? America has many drivers with D.U.I. (Driving Under Influence) problems? That went to far. Oh and the scene where Mario rescues Toad, that was funny.

Dude this is awsome, you gotta make more, but I was a little dissapointed with no crazy mario, which I thought was a funny trademark, but you should make more of how they make fun of how fat he is, like fitting through pipes, or mario rescues peach, where she finds her hero, but it's not what she expected. ( Cmon, he's fat, ugly, and a plumber, whoever cleans shit can't get a date with a princess! )

I loved the first Mario Mishaps so much, that I was so happy to see a second one out, but this one actually kinda sucked.
The first Mario Mishaps was better then this for a few reasons:
1. It had actual super mario sprites.
2. It had funny things that took place in the setting of the game.
3. It had the old mario music from NES, not the Super NES versions.
So, what i'm trying to get across is, if you do happen to make another one, try to make it like the first one with material like before.

Well, it was decent and occasionally clever. However, as most everyone else has said, your first "Mario Mishaps" was superior by far. Just stick with the formula of real sprites and Mario worlds that we enjoy, alright? Overall a decent show, but nothing I'd recommend.

First off theres just too many mario things...but i like many others enjoy them. however this was pretty sophomoric....not all that funny...and that homer sound bite was used too much so that it got annoying. but for art and stuff it was good. and i liked how the buttons in the beginning had sound when the cursor was on it...made for a good cheap beatbox thing. was prolly the best part :)

As for the other details, the graphics don't even need to be great, which is the real beauty of flashes like these, the sound fit the flash perfectly, and the violence and humor go hand-in-hand in making this very entertaining. Kudos!
