The New Land is a game for all ages, the goal is to get 30 people in your village.Unlike other strategy games were you put the villagers to work this game is special...you've got to do the work by yourself! Cut trees, Dig for gold etc. etc.

Quick Help:
The objective of the game is to build a village that has 30 villagers.
You can do that by building houses. But you'll need resources for that. There are 4 resources in the game: Food, Gold, Wood and Bricks. You can gain Food by building farmlands. Gold by building a goldmine. Wood by planting trees and Bricks by building stone-mines. You can see the number 50 in the top border next to the pickaxe. It shows you how long it would take before a resource has been found. You can make that faster by building houses or vulcanos. It will then decrease by 1 or 5! When a resource is found the object will turn darkish and there will be an icon on top
of it that tells you which resource is found. Click on the object to gain it and
let the resource searching start over. Trees can be used 5 times, other
buildings unlimited times!

"Good but things, really did annoy"

date: January 19, 2008

It was a really cool game, but i must admit the glitches were annoying. Like i used a tree but it would be finished and the coutn wouldnt go up any more, so it was really there to just look pretty. It was annoying, so the glitches were the only thing that bugged me. Other than that is an all round pretty good game =]

"loved the game, hated the glitches."

date: August 1, 2007

Hi! the game was a brilliant idea, and it's definitely goin to my favorites, along with the author, kenney.

i personally think that there is no need for a sequel, as this alone is addictive enough.

although the game was great, there were, of course, some errors.
please take into account what i have mentioned below:

i know you get this alot, but it glitches very easily...

here is a few glitches i have discovered by playing:

1: all trees, mines, houses etc are able to pile up on one another.
for example, you can buy a house and put in in the middle/on top of a volcano, or even another house, or anything! this can also cause the graphics to sort of... vibrate.

2: if you buy a tree, mine etc, they can be placed on the bottom menu. i am not sure if they can be placed on the top menu, but sometimes can block you from buying things if you accidentally double-click on the item you wish to buy.

3: your pickaxe number (how quick you will get a resource) can go under 0 into -5, -10, -15, etc. this causes all items to freeze their counter. it does not affect farms, they grow at an amazing speed, but you can click on the as if they were full anyway.
this is the same for: gold mine, stone mine and in very few cases trees.

4: when your 'pickaxe number' falls below 0, citizens no longer use food.

5: building volcanoes can make some items stop at 0, or whatever number they were on. it does not always happen, nor is it very likely, but please try and make use of these notifications.

Thanks, and good luck,

Retard-Monkey

"good....but"

i found out that if you click a resource even when the resorce isn't there, ie a tree when it is still producing wood, you still get the resorce count
