I love this game ever since I found it around 8 years or so ago. Not only it is good and simple in terms of gameplay, you can return to it and restart anytime you want.
My suggestion to you, Krin: even if this game is really old, you should consider remaking it for Steam. It holds all the necessary components for a good game, and if you just tweak some of the artwork elements, give it a bit more content, but keep the overall idea, you'd be set.

I used to play this game ALOT in school. I know a few tricks.

There is a guy that is sitting cross legged on the top level to the left. He will give you a ring. With the ring, go to the center area on that floor. Walk to where the moon is and hit space. It will give you a skill point.

If you want to level fast. If you take down the training things shield and hit its health, you get double experience. If you have a spell like getting mana, use that if the thing gets low on health. Use it till it heals itself. Healing and mana gaining does not cost energy.

With this strategy:

Easy: 6 experience per hit after shield is down
Medium: 10 experience per hit
Hard:20 experience per hit

Now when you get weapons that would one hit it, go to the lamest vendor and buy the crappiest sword while you train.

This game is so awsome, playing as Sinjid Perks and awsome battles.

But there is a portal Called Dark Rift, Cannot be played unless beated all of Human Gateway levels.

Level 1 is Too Extreme for me.

Pro tip: In a 1 vs. 1 encounter, when having suffered a killing hit, your skill bar reappears for a split second. If you are able to click a healing ability within that split second, you can recover from 0 health even if your character has appeared to have died already.

(Awesome game, a little bit lengthy at times but it was a lot of fun. )
