i had an issuse like this with HP tech support....

all they do is tell you to rollback your computer. they had passed me over to the so called "top" guys and they told me "call back at 8am to 10am for someone in your country" ended up having to call back @ that time and they gave me someone in the US (thank god...) turns out Vista (might as well be called ME service pack 1) had some issuse with a winsocket and made my factory installed OS say it was a counterfit copy. lets just say the ppl in india weren't too happy when i said how they make money is by selling illeagle copys of windows and i would let mircosoft know and a joint lawsuit would follow.

Word to the wise. the magic word to dealing with anytype of tech support/customer service is "Lawsuit" they start to actully do the job they were hired to do @ that point.

Bottom line: looks like me and Foamy have a lot in common with computer issues and they still have Tech support in the US. they are just 1st thing when they open tho.

BTW HP will try to charge you to even get there tech support of "just rollback your computer" not paying for tech support that is a one liner.

i saw this when it 1st came out and I didn't deal with tech support @ that point. so now that i have had something like this i can relate a whole lot.

i also find that it is funny that he asks "Is your monitor on?" its F'ing laptop... laptops dont have a power button for the monitor. (for thouse who don't know that)
