Awesome history!
Hey swampwalker, this isnt a cut but did you consider that this was submitted in 2000? Just pointing that out because it's easy to overlook.
Of course im giving this props for the fact that the characters look decent for 2000 and earlier tech and the music is fantastic. Great submission, sorry I didnt review it eight years ago, haha

nothing special
It wasn't animated enough, the story was pretty basic, and for a video where the characters hardly move, they could have been drawn much better.

It's very good.
Taking only a week to create, the animation looks pretty good. Your style of anime is good. However, would you consider remaking this into a full-on animation? If your anime style and your animation skills have improved, then this could become an even greater historic piece.
"Considering that it is a very early animation from 2000, understanding the power of programs at the time and yada-yada, I like the animation. And for what it's worth, it gave me a tongue-in-cheek feeling.
As for everyone else, for these historic animations, consider how old they are and when they were created. This animation is 8 years old since accepted onto Newgrounds (Tom filtered through the portal during that time, it wasn't automated), so before you automatically blam it because the animatons are a lot better nowadays, consider the age of the piece, what was considered quality work back in 2000, and what was considered funny at the time."

Very good job.
I see that the week that it took you to make this was well worth the time i think that you did a pretty good job on this it is very sad and emotional and fits the song wat really got me was when the one dude had to leave his family to fight and during that fight with the other guy he notices that the dude also has a loved one and i think thats what makes it sad yet such a great flash vid keep it up hope to see more flashes like this from you.
