"Saladfingers"
Hmm i think the creator is trying to tell us something... like i think he is a victim of a post-apocolyptic nuclear war [as in WW1, hence the referings to vera lynn and france and the safety cupboard, also puppets were a popular toy around then - hence hubert cumberdale and co.] the dead bodies in his meat closet are hallucinations [representing the rations], and that SF, among a few others are the shell-shocked survivors

After watching the entire series, I begin to wonder if salad fingers even existed in the time of the "great war" maybe all of these people are fictional characters he created and lives with out of pure loneliness. Or... theres a story behind it. Either way I want more. MORE I SAY. MOREEEE
