From the devious mind that brought Newgrounds Jam, the collaboration that brought life to the "group movie" idea, comes a no-holds-barred spectacular event!

Newgrounds Versus, the exhibition that pits two flash artists against each other in a brutal death match of skill and talent. The audience watches the movies, then votes... only one can be the winner and the other will die a horrible death!

Not bad.

But bonus points for the random violence perpetrated on the vending machine.

They were both not that great.

But I would definitely have to say poopmoose gets my vote on that one.

I'd have to choose Poopmoose.

I think his had a little more of a point to it. Other than that the two were equals.

........

neither of them were any good at all...thats all i have to say.

Interesting idea, but this matchup was mismatched

This is an interesting idea to pit 2 Flash artists against one another. I hope this turns into another successful series, like newgrounds jam.

An early qualm I had with this work was the beginning animations. If you're trying to setup this flash competition under a motif of boxers locked in combat, then I suggest that you draw them into better detail. I say this because Newground's nostalga requires stronger drawings of figures in combat in order to create an image that these are the best of the best artists at work here. The motifs using solid stick in low grade animated combat takes away from what you're trying to indroduce in your author's notes and the actual flashwork's splash page.

Speaking of which, the splash page's old fashioned movie theme doesn't seem to work. I say this because there are no classic movies that anyone knows of that involves a rivalry of artists or boxers. Perhaps if you re-worked the theme towards more of what newgrounds viewers are familiar with. My only suggestion here is something along the lines of looping images of familiar Newgrounds' characters interlocked in combat. I know that would require a fair bit more effort on your part to produce such an idea. However, in all honesty it does suit your versus idea better than old movies.

As for the two artists involved in this movie, I felt that Unclemike outclassed p00pm00s3 on the Abashed Mechanism theme. I felt that p00 tried to use a clockcrew approach to solving this topic, but his animation fell flat. I say this because it didn't really show as much insight into the topic as Unclemike's did. Unclemike did more with his idea of the robotic frankenstein turning on his master. He tried more in terms of animation, character drawings and the story's ending. p00's idea on a stuborn vending machine wasn't as strong in those things I listed above.

Anyhow, I hope Unclemike moves on in this tournament. Good luck.
