I think you may be able to create some great music videos. This one was promising, but nothing spectacular.
- I think the animation was a little too simple, especially since I know you are a talented animator
- The video was somewhat repetitive until the very end when the vehicles collided. Videos need have some variation to keep the viewer watching.
- IMPORTANT: In music videos, sound and animation MUST fit together perfectly. I think Walk-Smash-Walk is a perfect example of how this should work. You should first analyse the piece of music you want to animate, then put in specific actions, for example, on the beats or do a scene change when the song changes. This takes a lot of work, I know, but it looks great. For starters, I would make it so the drummer hits his drum when the actual drum hits in the music. That shouldn't be too hard. Then, make the guitarists strum to the beat. It's all about rhythm.
Author's Response:
Thanks, DukeOfOxford. I meant this as a one day project and didn't want to spend much time on it. I was looking at rythm of the song but didn't have time to figure out the exact timing so I just kind of quickly assemled it. Another thing that I wanted to add was masking but somehow didn't work out so that's why there aren't a lot of colors. I'll keep your comments in mind for my future music vides though.
