2007 commentary: This is my ambitious 5-part series called BRUNCH of the DEAD. It went to be awarded a daily award for every episode, which I'm very happy about. Episode 3 received 2nd place and lost to a cartoon about boobies (which I was mad at first, but then I realized that nothing can beat boobies). The series premise was to follow an ex-hitman who arrives into a ghost town where he discovers quickly that there's something wrong, DEAD wrong! ... no wait, that didn't make any sense. Well, that's exactly what the spirit of the series is. It's packed with physical humor, visual, pop culture, and some zombie killing action. I was still getting better at animating, but I never got to a certain dream plateau I was always shooting for. I admired so many other great animators on this website and I always wished I could get to be as good as them. So, this is an ambitious series for a regular animator. Enjoy... and you will see that this will be.... the most terrifying brunch of the day!

Pretty good.

That was a good start. Can't wait to see episode 2. I really like that you didn't use gradients this time. The animation was nice and smooth too. I do have one question. Since it's in black and white, does that mean that the gory scenes are in black in white too? I mean, I prefer nice red blood and all that other good stuff. But if it's in black in white that will still be cool. Keep it up. I gave it a 5.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Shades of dark gray and black for blood, but lots of it. I did consider to make everything black and white EXCEPT for the gore, but I thought it would look a little wierd in the end. Might as well just be 100% loyal to black and white and it's colour restrictions. I'm very happy that you enjoyed Episode One has much as you did, and soon enough Episode 2 will be out. Thanks for the 5!

screw that last guy

That last guy wouldnt know a good horror movie if it bit him. Ohh yea that wouldnt be realistic though.hehe Great work man look foward to more!

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Thanks for the support, and yes it is true that a horror movie couldn't bite someone in the ass, lol. Good observation, and hope to see ya at the next Episode!

I really liked it.

I dunno what these other guys are talking about, the movie is very good. Not many people have the creativity or the patience to make a good movie like this. So I'm guessing these synacists here are just jealous of your production. Don't be swayed by their snide little reviews, you are doing remarkably well( apparently better than them). Just keep it comin', I'll back you up at least.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

Thanks for the compliments and the support. Somepeople don't get the nature of this movie yet. I'll have to spell it out for them in my Author comment. Thank you once again for your comment, I'm glad you liked it :)

it wasn't funny at all, and why the FUCK would a nuclear waste truck be driving through a fucking graveyard? graveyards are always locked off and you don't drive through them, and there is no such thing as a nuclear waste convoy truck...especially not one that looks like a fuel truck and isn't surrounded by guards. that's just screaming terrorism or nuclear disaster. also, the thought of reanimation of skeletons via nuclear power is ridiculous, not to mention nuclear waste...also, they'd have no muscles to move. look at normal undead movies like dawn of the dead (which this is apparently a spoof of), resident evil, house of the dead (SHITTY movie), etc....think realistically.

Riotcomix-2006 responds:

I think you missed the point of what Brunch of the Dead really is about. Not only is it a homage to the zombie genre and cliche B-Movies, but also it's an innovation of the genre (my sole original ideas and contribution to the story). It's also a spoof of all that is predictable and rediculous. No, House of the Dead isn't paradized (if thats a word) and same thing with Resident Evil. The only thing thats spoofed is the idea of zombies attacking. The title could be a spoof of Dawn of the Dead, but then again, theres House of the Dead which isn't from George a Romero.
