First off, sorry about the file size. There is quite a bit of video material. This movie has a large amount of optional additional material: You only need to watch the "Main Movie" part to get the idea. The additional sections give you some extra information if you're interested.

If you don't know what thermite is, it is an extrememly powerful incendiary (it burns very hot without exploding) that must be ignited with magnesium ribbon. This movie shows the experience of myself and Matteus (who wishes his full name to be unknown) with thermite, as well as providing some helpful tips if you want to try it out yourself (which, of course, you won't because of the disclaimer that you agree to.)

You DON'T HAVE TO read the whole "Read this first" part, just the first couple frames of it if you want to get a general idea of what thermite is.

So, enjoy the movie, and please don't lower your voting score because there is a lot to read: The reading stuff is optional and you can skip over it withouht missing anything of importance.

Thermite is some pretty fun stuff.

I think you did good. I am going to try thermite pretty soon. I know another way to make it that actually works though.

ive think ive seen this done on tv.

ive seen this done on tv, but it was with a one gallon buket of thermite and it was droped on a propane tank and ignitied, they were trying to see how long it would take for the thermite to burn thoght the propane tank, it didnt take long!! and there was a huge explosion! but i dont plane on experimenting with thermite quite yet!
