That was cool! The essences and runes were drawn very well.
In the sequal(which u'll make OR SO HELP ME GOD!), You should involve Pious Agustus or the Roivas family in this movie(perferably Alex, she stopped the darkness once, she'll do it again dammit!). I love eternal darkness.

I thought it was pretty cool. Don't listen to your detractors, The series looks like its gonna be good to me.
