This movie was finished in three days, and originally released as part of Newgrounds Time Trial IV on February 25th. You can view that movie by checking my Other Submissions.
Please watch this film with an open mind, as it has no literal meaning. Although I have given my own account of the happenings within the movie, it was created with the intent of inducing thought and discussion. There is no true answer to the occurances in the film - your assumptions are as valid as mine.
In this updated release of "The Betrayal", I've changed how audio is dealt with - it makes the animation less choppy. In addition, part of a shot that was deleted has been put back in. For those of you who don't understand the movie, I've added a whole section where I explain what the movie means. And for those of you who want to learn more about how I do what I do, I've added a section where you can browse through all of the production sketches for this project.
Look for me again in Time Trial V later this week, as well as Strategy Guide: Episode 4 (both a special trailer and the film)!

This was a very powerful film.
Yes, I remember watching this on the NG Time Trial like you quoted, but back then I didn't really understand the whole idea completely. The special features on this DVD version of the actual film actually clarified and defined better what you meant to put down about the main theme and concept of the story. As I read what you wrote down, I noticed that, the story actually has a quite profound meaning, it is full of metaphors and symbols that construct a diagram about death, good and evil, and other elements.
I really enjoyed also looking at the sketches of the creatures you made, it was quite fascinating. But overall it was an incredible film.

Wow
Well it been a long time coming. You accually could have called this Betrayal Extras. ot goves a real nice character discrption. The solo scene was really nice done. every thign was very crisp.
THe explaination of all the esp was good too.
