Iga vs Koga Teaser

Ninjas are just awesome, so the first thing I wanted to do with my new Flash prog was make a ninja movie. I've got a ton of ideas for how to fill out this movie if people like it. This is one scene from the middle of the movie, the Iga ninja is wearing shuko, which are metal hand-claws just in case you were wondering what he's fighting with.

All the art is original except for the moon which came from a picture, though I did hand trace it into vector art. None of the other art is from photographs but is all stuff I generated myself and then ported to vectors cause I'm good with photoshop like that.

The worst part of making this flash was listening to hundreds of sound FX to find the right ones! Music is credited, enjoy!

very good

i'm a young flash-learner, & i was just curious on how you were able to make the swords get motion blur. & how did you like make the movie move horizontal in the very begining. Thank you sir, i greatly aprreciate it. god bless you.

Anenome responds:

Well, quite simply, for the motion blur I created little dark triangles which are in the movie for only a frame when the swords move, and they are set to be transparent, so it's actually an illusion, though I did tweak on them to get them just right.

And as for moving it horizontal, I had to create a heck of a lot more dirt than you end up seeing, and then I just tweened it from right to left, making it look like the camera moved when in fact it was the scene itself. Other notables: the lightning changes the light on the whole scene (except the actors, maybe in the 1.0 ver) and the Japanese castle lights up in response. I especially liked adding the details of the castle windows lighting up and then fading with the lightning ;)

Good luck with you movies, check out Flashkit.com for more help.

ok

well, it was a teaser, so it being short and having a low score was really rather predictable. i subject you finish the movie.

Lacking

Just a tip: if you're going to do an animation based on Ninja-Fighting-Action... don't disappoint the audience by showing a black screen right when the fighting begins.

About half a secind of animation

You aren't THAT good, so don't get too aroggant.

it's awesome graphix.

but too bad you can not see the action when they're fighting.
