A corrupt businessman with mafia ties is visited by an unwelcome guest.

Philosophy (do not read until afterwards)-

Whenever I write a story, I always try to throw in little nuances for people to catch. With this tale, however, well... the thing's friggin' loaded, for your viewer enjoyment.

For anyone interested and/or familar with Greek Mythology, the guy that takes Baxter Powell away is the modern day Charon, the ferryman of the dead. If you'll notice, his briefcase bears the insignia of his double hammer.

Also, on the bookshelf are the scales of justice. There's a lot of character blocking (putting people either on the left of the right of someone or something to resemble either the noble or the ignoble character). He pulls up in a limo (the ferry of the roads). The dialogue also contains many little subtlties for you to goggle over.

Anywho, that's all I have for now.

This was great noir!

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of this movie. The only thng I have to say, and I always say this when I liked something, is it wasn't long enough. Good story, great noir but I would have really liked to see your version of hell. Looking forwar to the next one!!

SketchMichaels responds:

So awesome!

HEy that was so cool... alot of style and imagination, don't listen to that other person about "more imagination". The "humor" i rated was in a dark sort of way. Not only that but your talent with flash really shines through. Reminds me of a short story i read by Shirley Jackson. Something about the devil's contract and then tricking him into signing over his soul to the girl. Check out her stuff if you need inspiration. Im going to be working on ones inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's short stories.
Cheers!

SketchMichaels responds:

Shirley Jackson... rings a bell, I'll have to look her up. Lovecraft's a good resource, good to see another lit. buff around here.

Thanks for the review :)

Pretty Good

I think you did a good job with this movie. I liked the concept and the animation wasn't bad. It certainly didn't suck. I would have liked it more if it were a bit longer with more interaction between the characters. Overall, good job. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.

SketchMichaels responds:

Fair enough concerns. Thanks for the constructive review!
