Finally, after 5 months, ludas animans episode 1 part 2 is complete. Before, you watch it, MAKE SURE THE QUALITY IS SET TO LOW, if it isn't put it on low. The blur effects will look really crappy if the movie is set on medium or high. I hope you enjoy the movie.
Now, if you're all wondering what took so long for it to come out, I'll explain........in detail. If you don't want to know then you can go ahead and get to watching the movie, otherwise here we go. After completing ludas animans episode 1 part 1 and putting it up on newgrounds, I was set to work on part 2. I was in the brainstorming stage before actually woring on it, but five days after I put up part 1 at newgrounds, my computer's motherboard fried. At the time i didn't know that, but for a week I was wondering why the computer wasn't functioning properly. I thought it was a virus so I reformatted the hard drive, but that totally killed the computer right there. The backup cds wouldn't work so the hard drive wasn't fully reinstalled with the the OS, pretty much making everything suck, as the computer couldn't read the hard drive at all. Around mid August, the computer was diagnosed, and at the time we couldn't afford to fix or even buy a new computer.
Mid September is when we bought a new computer, from there I had to get all the stuff I had lost on the other hard drive, which meant a lot of downloading. I downloaded all of my emulators and games first, then the programs necessary for creating flash movies. I had to start all over from scratch with my own sprite ripping again. I was pretty downcast at the time since i had to rip all the sprites I already had, and recolor all of the main character's sprites along with ripping them. I worked on the main character off and on while ripping others that i needed, this is where i downloaded sprite sheets extensively except for a few characters that I ripped myself. Finally came the animating of the sprite gifs, which I did while also working on part 2.
I didn't really start making ludas animans episode 1 part 2 until around Thanksgiving, when I had most sprites I needed to make it. I worked on it everyday for about 8 hours each day, 16 if I was lucky(I have 4 other siblings who use the computer), December 15 is when I finished the movie, all i need to do was add the music and sound effects, but in the middle of me saving part 2, the computer crashed! When i rebooted the computer and tried to open the file............it was corrupt..... All that hard hard work went down the drain in 1 second, I was severely pissed. I quit in defeat for about a day, but i was filled with the sense of completion, I needed to finish this movie, and I wanted to finish it. So I had to start all over again. For some reason, it took me a bit faster to finish it this time around, probably because of my photographic memory. I had all the scenes and dialogue saved in my brain, so I kinda breezed through it. There are a few differences with the second making of part 2, like what happens in the background of scene 2 is different, the scene 3 fight is slighty altered, but mostly the same. The scene 4 fight was extended and altered a bit. I also changed some of the dialogue.
Also, when i made this, I completely forgot what happened in part 1, so scene 1 might be a bit strange since Fefnir already explained what he was doing in part 1, but I made him explain it again in part 2.....oops. In conclusion, I hope the movie is enjoyable to watch and for you to give back any comments or suggestions you may have. I'm already brainstorming part 3, so hopefully it won't be too long until it is released.
