People still seem to use this tutorial, better check out Flash4beginners, it also covers this subject, only way better, and for mx2004 this time (this tutorial was for flash 5)

I neve made a tutorial, so here it is. My first tutorial ever. THIS IS FOR BEGINNERS ONLY! So don't blam this only if you think you know everything the is being explained. By the way, sorry for the filesize, i used a lot of bitmaps and they realy increase the filesize. Anyway i hope this tutorial helps you out so that you start making flash of your own. (i'm not english so there maybe a few grammar/spelling faults in the tutorial, sorry for that)

i have a simple question but i can't find the answer, how do you turn stuff around? your sprite was facing left but then he was suddenly facing left! how do you turn them around like that?

not really the correct way to import a sprite sheet into flash.

Well done...but-

You didn't explain about how to animate it or how to add the background, luckly I already know.

Good, but!

I have a big problem, answer as quickly as you can. I do everything what you did (even same sprites) and still I can't get them walking, it only drags the sprites :S

The way you teach isn't very teachy... That means that you don't really explain very well. A tutorial is a tutorial, this is a video of you making a basic animation, not a tutorial.
