big file uh? ive working hard so i hope u enjoy... u better! lol jk have fun!
Just didn't do it for me
I saw both this and your new addition, and I just wasn't impressed. I reviewed your second one already, and what I said there can be applied to this as well.
I don't want you to take what I say against you as a person, I am simply looking at what you have submitted in terms of:
1) What are you trying to do?
2) How do you go about doing it?
3) What should or does the audience expect?
4) Did I like it, and why/not?
Your intent is clear: Amusement. You want us to laugh at a well known video game hero. You go about it by having him do incredibly stupid things. The audience expects to be amused by this.
What killed it, in my own opinion, is the overstatements of Links stupidity. We can already figure out that the Link you have presented is a moron. Navi doesn't need to say anything.
What I think you should do in the future is go for a "Less is More" approach, that is, when you're making your next flash, go over every single scene, every line of dialogue, every action in the flash, and constantly ask yourself "Do I need this? Is this element necessary to get my point across?" Constantly ask yourself if something is redundant, and if it is, get rid of it.
I hope this is helpful. I am not trying to bash you as a person, I am simply stating that I did not like this flash, and I am giving my reasons as to why.
Kinda predictable, and not all that funny. Only part where I actually laughed was the 3D-glasses part. Still, awesome graphics and sound, but the storyline and humor needs work.
That was not even funny
Maybe it's just not my sense of humour.
I know how cliche it is to say that "In comedy, timing is everything." This flash proves that to be true though. Throughout the flash there were many great spots for comedy that were lost due to timing. I love Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and I was really expecting this flash to be a good farce on it, but instead Ganfaloon just used LoZ:OoT as a frame for cheap jokes. I knew exactly where I was supposed to laugh at, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I think I managed a snicker once, but I can't quite remember.
The downfall of many flash animations, in my opinion, is the voice acting. I think this might only bother me as I am a voice actor. Maybe I'm the only one who cares, but I still think I deserve to mention it. The voice acting in this flash was actually better than most. What it failed on was timing and recording quality. Timing seems to be a recurring flaw, and recording quality is not the fault of the author.
So, in essence, too forced, bad timing, mediocre voice acting, and no point. Maybe it's just not my sense of humour.
I did not enjoy that.
I found that piece a little on the annoying side, seeing that it took forever for link or any other charactor to move or interact. I suggest that you make your future movies run faster. It bores me to have to sit though this.
