Dim here!

Christmas is nearly here, so I felt a Christmas edition of the Another Day series would be nice.

This one follows Blue Rabbit and friends as they enjoy the Christmas holidays, drawn in the style I've come to know so well.

If some of it seems strange and new to you, then you can always watch the other cartoons in the series. I recommend 3 and 4, as these explain who the characters are and where they live.

Some credit goes to Soph, for making sure I finished it, and for helping me come up with ideas.

Very refreshing

I enjoy your type of animation. You can see the effort that you put into it. I have to agree with many of the other critics here on Newgrounds that the song you chose is a little strange.
Many people are giving you great reviews due to the fact that you used a song from a movie they liked (Donnie Darko). I do enjoy that movie as well as the song, but the animation you have gives the idea of a cutesy, critter-like flash. You use bright colours (I'm canadian...that's why I spelt it like 'colour'), and yet you used a very dark song. In all, if you wanted to confuse the audiance, you did a heck of a job. But if you were trying to use the mood of the song (and not the lyrics) then you should definitely look for another song.
Hope you come out with a hellova lot more.

That was...umm...cute? It's actually kind of beautiful in its simplicity. It's just "Another Day" as the series name suggests. Nothing too special going on plot-wise, but interesting nonetheless in the way it glorifies and highlights the every day joys of life (?). You should make online greeting cards or something.

It was quite good graphics and animation, even if I didn't find too much sense in it. But in the end it's a Christmas version, so I pass you this.

The thing that I DON'T pass you is that you chose "Mad World"... you all here on Newgrounds are really abusing that song...!
This didn't fit AT ALL in the movie, which was meant to be a happy, maybe even melancholic one, but NOT a sad one.

By the way, I don't understand how can you like Gary Jules's version, when Tears for Fears' original song is wonderful...

Well Done

Job well done, congrats. It was great and i loved the selection of Mad World, one of my favorite songs, it went well with the movie, dont let anyone tell you otherwise or that u needed voices, cuz u obviously didnt.. nevermind, its beyond them. anywho, job well done, its good that we have one serious animator on newgrounds, lately weve been having nothing but funny cartoons, which i like, but also think require no talent to do, just alot of cussing and insulting. So, i congrat u on ur job well done, good job.

BUT!!! Sound. This is extremely important to all flash movies. Learn to use stream sounds. Go to the bottom of the submit flash page on NG and follow the liink to the sound compression page.

This is really important. Tom and Wayne won't put your movie on the front page unless it has compressed sound.

It also limits file size and keeps the movie coordinated with the sound. If you stop this movie by right clicking the sound keeps going. when it's on stream the sound only goes with the movie so each frame has it's own sound.
