Did you rip them yourself? Well you know what would be cool if the mystery ending (if you make it) was that Ken would go to where scorpian and ryu were fighting and Ken would kick scorpians ass. Than Ryu would say something like this "gee thanks Ken now i'll never get back to Earth" Thats all.
Well frist off this movie had amazing sprite use it was very well done through out the whole movie. Also the backrounds were neat and this had some solid sound affect. Indeed for a fight movie it also had a pretty good storyline and some creepy music. Overall a very intence fighting movie with a crazed scorpian and nice affects.

Thye music before you start the movie was cool, expecially the VC one w/ flashing lights.
The addition of Dragula by Rob Zombie was perfectly executed, also the combo juggling effects throughout were awesome.
You should make more endings & also add alot more characters & mabe some split routes where you get choices mid way through & so ending up w/ different stories & such.

You did a very good job on this. I can tell where the excellent effort was put in with the Rob Zombie touch of music. The only bothersome thing with the film was that Scorpion's death felt kinda boring. Nonetheless, you did a good job. I hope this makes it into the collection.

I always return to the Mortal Kombat folder in Video Game Parodies because those contain some of the greatest video game flash that there is. This video has better action than most of the stuff there. Sure it isn't really funny, but it looks just so well done with lots of action. The only big problem is that the Mystery Ending button doesn't work. Other than that, I think this belongs in the MK folder.

This movie literally put me to sleep. The sprite graphics gave me a headache and the text reading looked so amatuer. You should truly try drawing your flash out rather than sprite ripping. Sprites should only be for flash games.. although drawn out is even better. The plot bored me to death...
Liked the animation, you know what your doing with slow mo, and minor special effects. Sprite movies never end up that good unless you do something completely original like ROTMK...but it was entertaining, make more... and actually include the mystery button next time... lame to have us vote and then give it to us.... cuz maybe u woulda gotten a better score...make more! look forward to it... oh and nice Shin Akuma spoof
that was the best movie i've seen yet that involved both Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. the fight scenes were very kickass for being made all with sprites. the endings kicked ass too. i can't wait for the "Mystery Ending" so hurry up and post it!

Scorpion seemed a bit on the thin side but maybe it was just that you wanted to match his height with Ryu's. I thought the fight sequence was great. I think it can be improved. Possibly add a life bar just to make it look spiffy. Maybe give Ryu the SF life bar and Scorpion the MK life bar and make a hybrid timer. Or just go pure MK. The only other problem was maybe a lack of blood because I know in MK there was helluva blood. And the other thing you should change is when either character is knocked to ground they seem to hit the ground and slide back toward the fight. I am unsure if it is intential or what but I would make them bounce a bit and then slide a bit by slowing down and coming to a hault.

That was an awesome movie, with a decent plot, and good action and effects. The main thing I didn't like about it was the text, it is always nice to have controllable text. But hey, that's just me. And a mystery ending would be very nice, but it better be damn well worth putting the button up to begin with. Now's your time to impress. Good job.

GRAPHICS: 10 -Original graphic of video games, so I can't ask for an improvement here. Kepp up the good work.
SOUND: 9 -Liked the music and sound effects, though I got the impression that they didn't fight together right in some places.
INTERACTIVITY: 3 -1 point for each of the ending buttons.
STYLE: 10 -The first Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter animation I've seen.
VIOLENCE: 8
HUMOUR: 1 -The way Ryu turning down Scorpion's challenge and how Scorpion reacted was kinda funny.
OVERALL: 9 -Get the mystery ending out soon. I hate incomplete flash animations and usually deal out some pretty low blows in my reviews (My review for -millix-'s "roomies" for example). Anyways, keep up the good work.
I'd say make more of these since I would have loved to see this actually happen... I liked Ryu's fatality, and I hope that you put that mystery ending in soon, cause I really would like to have more of this one. Though I would like to see Blanka vs. Raiden, or Shang Tsung vs M. Bison... or Sub Zero vs. Guile (and try and get the handcuffs thingie for it... lol)... :)

You know, when I first started watching this, I thought it was gonna be lame. Man, was I wrong. The fighting is really cool and I would love to see the mystery ending.
What the hell? I don't see why you're holding off on showing the mystery ending for something that petty.
This was a pretty good sprite animation, and a good crossover too. As always, it's great to be able to choose which character wins and you seemed to pay equal tribute to each franchise. I think my biggest complaint other than the mystery ending thing is that you used one Matrix-like effect too many. The slow motion was more a distraction than anything else when you employed one right after the other. Use it more sparingly and it'll have a better effect.
I started watching ths thinking it would suck but it ended well. I thought Ryu had the better ending. FYI: I could careless about thy mystery ending.

Sprite animation takes no fucking real skill. Make your own art, don't steal previously existing art. You get no fucking props for that. Strike one.
The storyline was hokey. OMG RYU AND SCORPION FIGHT 2 DEATH AMAZING. Uh huh. Strike two.
The fight itself was boring as hell, bacause all it was was random sprite images cut and pasted together to form a... well, frankly, I don't know what the hell that was. It sure as shit wasn't exciting. Strike three.
And finally, your pathetic little WHEN I HAVE ENUFF DEMAND I SHALL MAKE MYSTERY ENDING (IN WHICH MARIO SHALL POP OUT OF WOODWORK AND KICK ALL ASS LOL LOL LOL.) at the end, which sort of rings as a blatant attempt to coax people into giving you a 5.

Loved the way you used em, and the sound was right on the money, I just got one bad thing so say and that is.. please finish a movie. Quote "Edit: Im aware the mystery ending doesnt work. It will only be activated if there is enough demand." There shouldn't have to be a demand for something just to make and ending. anyway Keep up the good work and I'll look forward to seeing more of your enteries :)

That was some of the fastest spirte action ive seen. The fights scenes were very cool and fun to watch. SFX was great and perfectly matched up with the animation. Good job!

story, graphics, everything was well done, and that was some fine spectacular fight scenes you got there dude. loved every second of this movie keep it up, marvelous things do come out of that razoric website, simply the best.
of course I could sit here and say it needed more.... and more..... but all in all this was a good movie, the animation was great and had that old school appeal for those of us over the ripe old age of 18. I am interested to see what fates will await the rest of the characters....

graphics: it was a 1 because not much of it weas ur animation, and the animation that was urs sukd (i aint complaining by the way)
sound :i fink it suited it pretty well, however sum metal music, sum dramatic or sum form of matrix wud of been a nice touch
interactivity: a 10 because i like the way ur sort of playing god, deciding who dies
style: 8 becuz im not fronm the MK and SF era, but my cousin was. i saw him alot and it was one of the first fighting games i knew, so i gave u an 8

nothing is worse than a movie that fails to capture your imagination, and thats exactly what this did. It's a shame because I like VG parody's, and loved Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat as a kid, so I was eager to watch a good "VS Movie".
I watched it all the way through... and felt nothing.
Technically it was good, but enoyment wise it get's a big fuckin 0. There was nothing in this movie that brought out any kind of emotion in me. Try and use your skill to make somthing worthwhile and not a peice of dull nothingness.
This is one of those movies i just wish i had skipped over. Sorry, but thats just how this made me feel.

Man, this is the best flash i've seen in a looooong time... perfect fighting sequences, excelent storyline and a kickass soundtrack. I really liked the Rob Zombie - Dragula song in the fighting scene.

Loved it, simply loved it. But, I have to say one thing. Everyone knows Ryu would own Scorpion in a fight if neither of them used any of their special attacks. Also, I liked Scorpion's Fatality much better, because with Ryu's it kept flashing in and out. Couldn't really see what was happening until you saw Ryu's fist through Scorpion's body. Overall: 10

That was amazing...you used the sprites perfectly and it was compeletly fluid. None of that choppy junk that usually happens when someone uses sprites alot. The plot was good too...most fight videos don't even have one. I really liked the endings, especially Scorpions. He kicks so much ass!
Can't wait for the mystery ending. I hope Akuma comes to help Ryu and Sub-Zero comes to help Scorpion and they have a 2v2 battle. That would be awesome!!

I am 1 of the Biggest fightering fans and its about time to see a good fighting VG pardory on newgrounds. the fast paced action was god sent and both endings kick real ass. i feel like my life won't be complete with out the mystery but it was a good thing the do. After this one you must make more vg fighting games and it wouldn't hurt to put more comdey in the next one but if you don't the next one would still kick ass.

There's no one someone can give you a bad review on this. Sure, it was a little 'slow' at the beginning, but the way you matched uo Scorpion's and Ryu's PERFECTLY more than made up for it. And sure, I'd like to see the "Mystery Ending." But whether you put it up or not, I think this is one of the best fight movies I've ever seen! (Wouldn't you agree, Andro46040?)And I want to praise MrRebel for the sharing the EXACT same views as I have. Haven't ppl ever heard of constructive criticizm? Besides, there's nothing bad to say about this movie, dude. Don't believe those pricks.

This was friggin' awesome! You'd better not only make that mystery ending, but friggin' make more of these, homeslice! The only thing I had problems with as far as animation was Ryu's first fireball when they were on earth... the lines going through it were too straight, making it look totally unnatural. Music selection rocked! I voted 5 for this one, and the only reason the review score isn't 10 is because I average all the categories together when I do reviews and there wasn't any humor so that hurt the review part. Hey, if you don't want any humor, that's cool, but to make your movie more well-rounded as a Flash, put something a little funny in it is the only improvement I can think of besides the aforementioned. (It's a serious movie, so not stupid funny, but maybe a witty remark or just and option to choose a funny ending as well as hidden). Keep it up!

Ryu can use Akuma's famous move when when he was made "evil ryu" but thats anouther story... in Maverl vs Capcom 2 he can use it... personally I don't understand why he did not use Ryu from M vs C.. oh well.. other than you need more endings and such it was a preety solid movie and hopefully soon I will join the ranks in NG.com... Most nifty. The graphics were fairly smooth, the fights were well choreographed, and the idea was pretty cool. Granted, there have been lots of Sf vs MK tributes in the past, but this one actually had more than just two frames of crap. AndRob Zombie!!! Can't go wrong with Rob Zombie. In all honesty, while I love MK to death (haha! Get it?!), Ryu would have tooled Scorpion within three seconds... but I suppose it would have been less exciting. :) I also liked the multiple endings, though Scorp's fatal was a bit weak (BTW, the Raging Demon, Instant Hell Murder, or whatever you want to call it, is NOT just Akuma's move. Akuma knew it first, but Ryu learns it when he turns into Shin Ryu, Evil Ryu, whatever)
I shall eagerly await more. Maybe next time you could throw in Kitana? And a bit of hentai action? j/k... or am I? ;D

I like seeing movies like this they always put a smile on me face. I am happy that so many people like this movie I thought it was bad ass. great fights my only complaint is that I wish you would have used ryu's super drgon punch instead of teh regular one but hey it's all good.

What I think made this popular was the stunning story line... It was just amazing. Also I love the hell setting. Also all those chinese voices at the end (it was amazing)! This was amazing, I loved how you did it, but it could have been better if you used Ps sprites, and genesis sprites from newer versions. (Like Alpha 3, and MK 3) Anyways, great job, and I can't wait to see the mystery ending.
Thank you for creating such a great Flash animation. This has always been one of those "dream" matches, and I got to see it, and choose who I wanted to win. I like how Ryu did the Shun Goku Satsu, (Raging Death) to Scorpion before killing Scorpion with his signature Shoryuken. This was very entertaining although I think the Shun Goku Satsu would/should have killed Scorpion. Thank you very much for taking the time to create a high quality Flash.

Totally... the way they talk, the way they fight and bounce arround and get juggled; it is very eerily reminiscent of Sonic vs Ryu 3. It may be inspired by a previous work, but its different enough to be a good movie nonetheless.

This, is the best sprite fight movie I have ever seen. It makes me wish I still had Street Fighter.
It would've been nice to show how Ryu killed Scorpian, like if you choose Ryu it shows him dead, and if you choose Scorpian it shows how he kills Ryu. But INSTEAD when you choose Ryu it shows him killing Scorpian.
And here's one more vote for you to SHOW THE MYSTERY ENDING.
The interactivity between the two sprites is great i love it because scorpian is so thin and ryu is so muscular yet they go together really well i love it makes me wish i had theese games still classics

I liked your movie very much. I will be excited to see what the mystery ending will be. There were 1 or a few bugs: sometimes the songs over-lapped each other but that was resolved by rewinding the movie to it's beginning. If you picked Ryu to win the fight, then the song track would sound like it's being overlapped by itself if i'm not mistaken.
Wow that was really cool dude. I dont know what to say really other than YOU MUST MAKE MORE ENDINGS AND MAKE MORE OF THESE IN GENERAL!!!! The only part that I didnt really like was how you done ryu's fatality, all it did was make the noise and the screen flashed a lot. It would have been nice to see him use the his move from mavel vs capcom, but I guess that would be hard to get a sprite for it. Great music to go along with the fight scene I dont know of a flash movie that I've seen with a fight scene music being by rob zombie. Skum of the earth would be a good one too. The fight scene is probably the best sprite fight I've ever seen. Making these sprite movies aren't simple tasks and you made this feel like their respected games. Awsome work.
The animation was friggin awesome, dude I'll give you that. But the thing i didnt like was that you off'ed ken like that, Ken is my favorite SF character. I think you should definitly do another movie with Ken and SubZero fighting, thatd be awesome!
Oh my god first the Mario vs sonic entry and now Street fighter vs mortal Kombat It must have took forever to make.
Although it was messed up that ken got defeated that easily Ryu definetly represented himself pretty well.
I just wish i had those sound effects for Ryu and stuff cause I don't think there is a single site that has Street fighter 2 turbo sound effects at all.

A nice fighting-game crossover. You used the sprites really well. It started off a little boring, but you made up for it near the end with that great fight scene. Only gripe was that the sprites looked a bit stretched,and they looked a little thin. But that's only a very minor problem. Well done.
P.S: I have a feeling that in the mystery ending Ken will come back.

And maverick viper, Ryu is slightly stronger than ken, as ryu's hadoken is more powerful than ken's dragon punch.
But he does hold a very valid point, in the fact that their skill is very equal, thus resulting in ken not being killed off so easily.( I know how u feel viper, i have spending the last 4 or 5 years defending dan ;)

this was my first serious flash that ive seen,but i still think that this is one great piece.
the fact that you are making 2 new deaths is something that not many people do,but when it happens we love it.the deaths were great,but ryus wasnt what i expected,it was mostly just a bunch of attacks and rippin scorp in half,so that was a downer,but other than that this was amazing.the blending of the series suddenly seems like a good idea. keep it up!!!

It was awesome. I liked how you introduced the two fighters, and the way the whole battle went was just superb. It reminded me of DBZ, or Matrix's style of battle scenes, fast and intense. My only complaint is that the battle is WAY to short. You should have made it longer. I also like that you actually put all the right sounds in there with each move, not everyone would got to those lengths, but you did. You gave each of them proper winning sounds, and such. That's just awesome. The Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat graphic styles didn't clash as much as I thought they would, so that's another big plus. Oh, sorry, but I have one more complaint. Scorpion's fatality really blows, Ryu's is cool, but Scorpion's definitely needs improving.

The song that you are talking about is "Dragula" by Rob Zombie.
One of the best sprite movies I've seen all year, possibly the best behind Scorpion Melee. You just cannot beat video game crossovers. Lots of excellent sprite work and uber-violence, a sure-fire winner. Good music as well. It would have been better if you could have had four characters (two from each series) to choose from and pick any two to have a fight, but I guess that would have been a lot of work. Chun-Li vs. Kitana sounds like an excellent idea for a follow-up. The different endings were good, although it was a little disappointing Scorpion didn't do the Toasty ending from MKII. All in all, brilliant.

Great movie. But I don't think ryu needs another ending. Since scorpion is obliviosly better in every aspect. Even the sprite is better. Ok maybe he does but the two things I didn't understand were why does the MK music play after Ryu's victory but no music plays after Scorp's victory, and why does Scorp have somthing o o o o o O to close to Night Wolf's Fatality?

You did great; here's an idea for the next one - it would be rather large, and you could do it in series, but it could be a world tournament, like "Street Fighter Versus Mortal Kombat - 2003" or something and have SNK fighters come in every now and then as mystery fighters or surprise cameos. You could have viewers vote on who should win the rounds until, to quote Highlander, THERE IS ONLY ONE!
Very nice I like they way you make the Mortal Kombat and the Street Fighter universe look good not most people can do that the graphics were very nice and the fighting was intense can't wait to see more if you decide to do so!

Nice movie man, having Dan at the beginning was a stroke of pure genious. One question though...will Dan be in the mystery ending? Please say yes. It will make me happy. Not to sound like a nitpicker too much, but how did Ryu do Demon Rage? Thats Akuma's signature move...ah well. Who cares. Ryu did layeth the smacketh downeth upon the Scorpion.
The mystery ending hasnt been updated...but will it ever? Scorpion is god, but his first finished suxed balls, That Ryu's was cool tho, very nice.

It's not bad, but there were a lot of paint-brush add-ins that detracted from its quality. Also, using the older street fighter animation isn't a great idea, especially when you're using the MK 3 Scorpion. The differences in their animation quality really stands out.
