Close ups
I like the rough style and the kid's voice. Try some close-ups to punch up the changes in expressions. Why not redo this one and have the kid paint himself like an animal with the father's blood and then cut to him in front of the animal cages at the zoo, making growling noises?
Why not make one with Mother Theresa as an alcoholic nun and some leper stabbing her in the head?

Alright, the voice overs were pretty well done. Believable acting, which added to the realism of this movie.

I was waiting for a joke or even a pun at very least, but I was just disappointed when this ended. It wasn't really entertaining, as it was very serious, and a problem that I do no find funny or entertaining to watch.

Hmmm...
Whilst you seem to have a decent joke in your head, the presentation is really below par.
Having a different on-screen cursor is just annoying when watching movies as it becomes an irritation, trying to get it in a position where it doesn't obstruct the screen so much.
Whilst the presence of stop/play commands is impressive, the restart button should be the back-skip button rather than a back arrow.
The animation could be improved.
The main problem I feel is in the timing and delivery of the actual joke. It could have been a half-decent movie but as it is, it just seems like it needs some serious work.
Still, with practise you'll only improve, so keep at it.
