First off, let me point out that sound hasn’t been added to this game because my intent was to create the smallest file size possible. I live in rural Michigan and can’t even get cable. Therefore, I have to use 56k dial-up. So, I wanted to design a game that would load fast even on dial-up. At 25.6Kb, this game will load fast over any connection. So, don’t judge low because there’s no sound. It’s by design.

Be sure to write reviews and leave comments both good and bad, because I do read them.

Update 12-JULY-07:
I’d like to thank everyone for their positive reviews and comments. And for those complaining about the graphics, my only rebuttal is this: the game is 4 years old. Granted, the graphics weren’t cutting edge 4 years ago, but they definitely can’t compete with the games people are making today. Overall, I’d say based on today’s ADD society the game has weathered quite well.

Also, for those asking about a sequel, I always wanted to make one. I even drafted a design spec in early 2005, which did include a multiplayer mode. However, life had other plans for me. In the words of the Rolling Stones, “What a drag it is getting old.”

Good in the start

Was good to begin with, but that stacking pestilence thing was ridiculous, when all ten cannons get wiped out in one round because I'm on the 56th level of pestilence and 7 of my items HAVE to be destroyed and there's nothing i can do to stop it, this game becomes less like a game, and more like a kid with a magnifying glass and an anthill.

Good

Your game is really good but does have a few issues, but I can understand since the game is only 25.6KB.

First off, the walls are nice, but seem to be too weak for their price, or for the number of enemies per landing ship.

Second, the warriors are incredibly too powerful, compared to everything else at least. They definitely help, seeing as how the canon is terrible, but they just walk into a row of enemies and the whole row is gone? 15v1? Just doesn't seem like it is possible.

Third, the swamps have no use in the game. They slow down enemies, yes, but they are just too expensive for that, or maybe you should give them a slight damage infliction to all who cross them, that would be a help.

Fourth, the canons. They are way too expensive for being a retarded shooter, and they go after ships before they go after infantry on the land. Also, they have no lead when shooting at distance, so they never hit a ship that isn't coming strait at them. A nice addiction to the game would be the option of controlling the canons and setting a priority target for the warriors/canons(if they opt not to control) so they will target that specific ship/unit first then onto others.

Another thing was the currency, I said everything was to expensive, but you could offset this by giving more cash for each unit killed or like mentioned above, making everything else less expensive. Another thing would to make the canons smart when shooting, or have the ability to buy a more expensive one that actually does work. Oh and one last thing, be able to repair damaged walls, warriors, or canons that are, well, damaged.

The game is good and I enjoyed it, I hope you enjoy the constructive criticism.

9/10, 4/5, 47/50, 93/100.

basic

The game is very basic, but it is excellent for its filesize

Very Well Done!

This is about as basic as it gets when it comes to graphics and gameplay, but for what it lacks, it really makes up for with strategy and simple yet somewhat addicting gameplay. Considering the fact that this loads quickly even with dial-up is also a neat thing although that's more in part with the size of the game.

A well-deserved 10/10.

ceats?
